Why dont you get coordinate from all those wayspot. Make sure to take the coordinate from wayspot itself. Showing pogomap doesnt count because its often not accurate. Things might shown to be in same cell where it is not. We need to use iitc for more accurate checking. Perhaps its just missunderstanding on how to read pogomap
I have attached a photo of the PokéStop that was previously in the cell where it was moved and that exists in the duplicated cell.
Photo of pogomap often inaccurate.
No. It is correct because the coordinates at the PokéStop were entered.
I checked again and found that Niantic updated the location of the Changwon Sunbokgung Church PokéStop today. However, it’s still a duplicate. When you enter all the coordinate values of the photo, the result values of the duplicate cells will appear.
We can not rely on evidence given on this map. This a third party site where often
- The cells aren’t fully accurate
- wayspots are not on their exact location.
Even if Niantic directly checks the coordinates entered in the game and enters them into the cell map, the result is the same as a duplicate.
Based on the answer they have given it is best to let this one go.
Niantic/Scopely has given their answer on this which most of the time is final.
If you want to know the official location of a pokestop, click on it, click the arrow at the top-right instead of spinning and then click on VIEW IN MAP (on the screen that has the 3 ellipses at the top-right). Copy the co-ordinates that are sent to google maps.
For gyms, it’s one extra click to get to the spinning page.
This won’t change Niantic’s answer, but it may help you to say exactly where the in-game locations are, as relying on third-party tools is never going to be sufficient.
I’ve uploaded a photo above showing the coordinates you provided. While it’s clear that the PokéStop in question is a duplicate, it’s frustrating that Niantic hasn’t taken action. I hope Niantic will reinvestigate and take action based on the information above.
So you’re saying that the two pokestops are a duplicate of eachother? Sadly I’m not able to read/translate the pokestop title from your photos but they’re not looking like the same object on first sight.
If these 5 images are the map locations taken from clicking VIEW IN MAP, then these 5 locations are in 3 cells.
35.23519, 128.64892 and 35.23524, 128.64850 are in the same cell
35.23228, 128.65424 and 35.23287, 128.65373 are in a second cell
35.23338, 128.65341 is in a third cell
Yes, that’s right. If you combine the coordinates in the photo into a cell map, you’ll get duplicate results.
This photo is of a previously existing PokéStop in the same cell as the playground and church. It’s not the church or playground PokéStop. I’m trying to include multiple points in one post, so I feel like my point isn’t being conveyed properly.
The location of the playground is 35.23524° North, 128.64850° East, and the location of the guide map is 35.23519° North, 128.64892° East
And the location of the church is 35.23287° North, 128.65373° East, the shelter is 35.23338° North, 128.65341° East, and the sculpture is 35.23228° North, 128.65424° East.
