Why do you not get a proper reason for rejection, just saying it doesn’t meet criteria doesn’t help anyone make better suggestions on the email you get or in the wayfarer site
some times I nominate and there in game in a day, other times i nominate something very similar rejected with no actual reason given its infuriating when some get accepted and others don’t when there basically the same thing. just 2 different locations

I review a lot of waypoints what qualifies something to be accepted just my review or does it go through multiple people before they are accepted?
Wayspots are reviewed by lots of different wayfarers. it is not known how many.

You do get up to two rejection reasons listed at a time on the wayfarer website when you tap on a nomination in your contributions tab. However, I’m sure most of us can appreciate that some of these reasons don’t always give submitters enough information, especially if it’s the rather generic one when your nomination gets automatically rejected by the Machine Learning.

If the rejection reason doesn’t show up in your wayfarer account, first try logging out and back in again. It won’t show in the email, so don’t look there for this.
If the rejection reason still doesn’t show up and it wasn’t an automated rejection, this can happen if so many different reasons were chosen by reviewers that the system couldn’t pick the main one. This is fairly rare.
If the automated rejection is basically “doesn’t meet criteria”, then this generally means the ML system couldn’t detect anything that was eligible. For example, you would get this for a random generic street sign. This is often an accurate explanation, as it can be hard to explain in more detail /why/ something doesn’t meet the criteria.
