This is a perfect example of a wayspot. Why can't I make it get through?

Title is “Parada de colectivo abandonada” (Abandoned bus stop)
Description is “Sin renovar desde 1943. “Afio y Fio”“ (Not renewed since 1943. “Afio y Fio”) (Afio y fio is the graffiti text on top of the bus stop)
These are the pictures:

Yes, I know it’s an old bus stop, but here’s the thing about it. There’s not many overly special things to submit as wayspots around the area. I found one or two things that got through (like a water tank and a metal bird).
And I seriously think that this place right here would be perfect for a wayspot because it’s outstanding in the area, it’s the type of place that you go and say “let’s go meet at the old bus stop” and you know where it’s at.
And I made a special remark in mentioning that the special aspect of this is its age, because as the description says, it’s “not renewed since 1943”. It’s not a typical bus stop… but anyways, I’m not going to try to “sell you a pen” or something.
I seriously think that this would be a good wayspot because of its location (which is somewhat central in the area) and its uniqueness and distinction.
What do you people think? am I crazy? or is this ok?

Edit: I forgot to mention that the ML algorithm is not letting this go through, not actual people. It’s tagging it as “just another bus stop like any other you see in a big city”, when in reality it’s not that generic on this place.

Welcome to the forum! I am truly glad you are here to ask about this. But I am afraid my comment is going to seem harsh.

It is difficult to reply to a topic with the title “This is a perfect example of a wayspot” and it turns out to be an “abandoned bus stop.” Do you truly feel this meets any of the criteria of a great place for exercise, exploration, or being social?

Just having “nothing else” does not make this eligible. And the vandalism on it would be enough of a reason to reject it.

I am glad you gave the location. There are many folks here who are good at looking around on Google Maps and making suggestions of things to submit.

Hello and yeah. Besides the uniqueness it has in the area, the reason why I think it could work is because its a good place for socializing.

And I emphasize a lot in the “social” aspect. It’s not about the bus stop itself but what the game could bring if it was made to become a rendezvous point for the game. That generic thing could be anything. A statue, a sign, a bench, whatever, but it’s not about the object itself but its location and what the game could bring by dropping events in that area. It’s so central, dude. It’s not at the edge of the town where we all would have to walk for a while, it’s right there in the center of the area.

I’m thinking more about the possibilities it could bring to the people in my town than the literal bus stop. We’re rural people: we’re naturally very scarce of social contact. That’s why if you look around these forums, so many rural people insist in a game like pokemon go. I thought about the idea of building up this area to have wayspots and events, and start talking the people in the neighborhood about it.

We’re very isolated from one another and I thought that pokemon go would be a great place to break the ice for all of us. My first thought was making this a wayspot and, hopefully, maybe a gym too. If we have an event dropping by, we all would meet at the right place.

So I say this again. It’s not about the literal old bus stop, but about its location and the possibilities that it could bring for us socializing in a very isolated place.

That is not how Pokemon Go works. You need to read about Criteria.

Once you understand what is eligible I suggest you do some reviewing, this will get you used to what should be accepted and what should be rejected.

Only after that would I recommend reading how stops / gyms and S2 cells are associated.

That is completely the opposite from Wayfarer criteria. Wayspots are supposed to be places people are attracted to. Appeals reviewers use “Generic” as a rejection reason.

I take it you have seen some of the posts with suggestions for rural submitters, and petitions to lower standards for rural wayspots. In case you haven’t found this one yet, there are some great suggestions on here:

Frankly, i think you can do better if your title not Abandoned Bus Stop. If its artistic good looking bus stop, i would argue that its good place to explore/socialize. But i dont think abandoned bus stop can do that. Moreover all the weeds and grafitti is not helping. I am really sorry but if you think its perfect candidate for wayfarer, i suggest you reread the criteria.

Eligible POIs must already meet criteria, so it must already be a great place to be social/exercise/explore before nominating, not something that could one day meet criteria.

You’ve been given a few places to look up critera, but all of it can be found here: Wayspot Criteria — Wayfarer Help Center

Your description isnt helping either, that appears to be vandalism and some may reject for the vandilism alone, but moreso for it being featured in your description.
