Welcome to the forums

If you provide the titles of what you submitted, it might be possible to know whether they are submitting things that meet the criteria (social, exercise, explore).

If you provide further details (photos, text), you could get more help, but please don’t upload details of more than one submission in a single post.

I been contributing new pokestop around my town.. and they’re really good places too. Where most people goes walking and shopping.. Anyways not any of them got accepted.. and we barely have wayspot in my home town too.. We’re having lots of people playing Pokémon go on this side.. we’re all huge fans of Pokemon. And we are forever Pokémon.. The only help I need is please accept our pokestops, bc all day I been accepting everyone’s contributions and no one accepted not even one of mine.. I been nice to everybody. Didnt get rejected ones. They accepted all mine and no rejects yet..

Can you share what you’ve been nominating? If you log into your wayfarer account you can take screenshots like this and share them here:

You don’t have to be nice to every nomination. There are rules to follow when reviewing, and other reviewers follow them when considering your nomination. You can provide a screenshot of your nomination, perhaps there are some problems with it.

First off. You must understand that even eligible nomination sometimes got rejected. It might got rejected by AI or it maybe not convincing enough to reviewer. Anyway if you are really sure that your nomination worthy you can appeal and get staff to review your nomination or you can ask advice here to improve it.

You certainly think so, but you might not understand what makes a good wayspot. Please have a look at Wayspot Criteria — Wayfarer Help Center

This is absolutely the wrong approach. Wayspot submissions should only be accepted if they are eligible, if they meet criteria and they don’t have any rejection reasons. They must be safe to access, not be on school ground, not be in people’s houses, not have people’s faces in the photos etc.

If you are accepting every review without evaluating the details, in order to be nice, then it would be better if you stopped reviewing and read up on what makes a good wayspot and how to review.

Okay I get it.. The places I put are open to the public and everyone has free access. Public park I’m gonna just be reasonable from now on.

Hey! It looks like you nominated a cafe or some kind of place selling desserts? That’s a really good idea, but your pictures just show a poster and both pictures are the same, so you can definitely improve this nomination

I would take a picture of the building or main sign as your main image. A bit like that cafe example I showed you! And then the supporting info might be a different view - a wider angle showing some of the surroundings and the cafe as well. If the poster is really important you can also make a collage of 2 pictures for your supporting and show both :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

The reason places to eat can be good nominations is because they’re a great place to socialise, so try to show/talk about the chance to socialise here, ans also mention if they sell anything particularly delicious :face_savoring_food:

What is this point of interest you submitted? We can’t see the title. This appears to be a temporary poster from the screenshot. Are those car windshield wipers at the bottom?

You have used the same photo for the main and supporting photos. This is a red flag to a lot of reviewers that you were not actually there in person to make the nomination. Your supporting photo should show the point of interest from a bit farther away to give more context as to what it is and where it is.

This is another great topic for new submitters to read: Top Mistakes Made When Nominating, and How to Avoid Them

Please read the criteria I linked.

Being open to the public is not necessary. Everyone having free access is not necessary. Something can have both of these and be completely ineligible as a wayspot because it isn’t a great place to be social, explore or exercise.

For example, a random street sign is open to the public and is accessible. It’s also boring generic infrastructure.

Wayfarer isn’t interested in stuffing the map with wayspots everywhere someone wants them.

This helped a lot.. I was in the truck when I was taking pictures. I’m not greedy or anything. I’m just suggesting at good spot. Where Basically everyone goes around. Hot spot because of our events that happens around that area. Community events.

One thing that I might suggest when making nominations is to use the supporting information to give lots of juicy details about what makes a potential wayspot interesting.

Everyone already knows you need more spots, that’s why the majority of people nominate. Despite the prompt in Pogo being about explaining why you ought to have a Pokestop, you get more milage with reviewers out of using it as a persuasive writing exercise, offering reasons that the point of interest fits the criteria and is a worthwhile place to visit. What makes this location a great place to socialize, explore or exercise?

Hi @Keam25

Norway House looks interesting. Not been to much parts of Canada (Sadly).

How many waypoints do you already have in town? The Care Centre. The Boat Ramp, Around the Keenanow United Church. What is the Fishermans Stage? Are there seats/picnic tables. Whats at the end of David Chubb Drive (is there a scenic look out). Are the Baseball fields nominated. The Fields are also in the Ken Albert park (are there signs for that). There is an Arch entrance. Picnic tables there. What about the Norway Entertainment Centre, The local Inn, The Cree Multiplex (ice hockey/ curling and has a gym). Kistapinanihk Mall (and does it have a cafe in it? - It has a post office) Does the Airport have a little terminal. Coffee Shops - Does Doub Paupamekis actually exist. York Boat Diner. Coffee shop at the Northern Store. Charley Biggs… Does the Hospital have a plaque or statue. Playgreen Inn. Do you have a playground near by?

You see where I am going. Norway House has a host of potential possibilities. Just because they exist does not mean when nominated they pass. But there is a forum here called nomination support. Use it

So when you nominate a possible waypoint. Do this

Write brief title, description, supporting (make sure this text is not rubbish but at least relevent). Select what it is (cafe etc) - with photo. /you can take photos before hand. In particular for main photo. Edit so they fit best. 4x4 (square is best) Centre what the POI is. you can upload from your gallery when creating the nom.

BUT DO NOT Upload now. Use the Upload Later. Get home. Log into WayFarer on your PC/Laptop. Go to the Contributions Section. Now on phone click upload now. Refresh the contributions every now and then and after a while your nomination will appear. Put it on Hold. Once in hold you can edit at will.. ((( note every now and then Niantic will grab your nomination before you edit but hey that happens - not often - I just roll my eyes - take it and nominate again  )))

Once on hold. This means you can rewrite the title, description and supporting information. You can do your research. Include weblinks etc to your nominations (if they exist). Remember in supporting. Select one of the criteria. Say It is a great place to explore. Because of X Y Z. Or Great Place to Socialise. Because. and remember evidence to support this goes a long way. DO NOT say make a great pokestop. Or we need more stops etc. That is not evidence or supporting information.

Before you release hold to put your nomination back into voting. Use the nomination support forum. Include all text, images and include the address. And ask hey how can I improve my nomination. I have often used this forum to great impact. Steadily increasing the quality and subsequent success of my nominations

Once you have your feedback and you ready click - release hold.

Again no guarantee it will pass. But what you have done is spent some time to polish your nomination up to give it - its best chance.

Oh and read the criteria . Often (all four sections)

And read these Criteria Clarification Collection - Niantic Wayfarer Community

There are 18 sections there - that could provide insight and help when thinking of what to nominate and how to write that nomination

Pay just as much attention on what does not qualify.

Remember just because a nomination exists in a game does not always mean your example where you live will pass. Criteria change. Reviewing changes. Nominations get in because of a range of bad reasons. But if you follow some of the advice I have suggested there is a chance your nominations will pass review

Good luck @Keam25 please keep posting. And please share your noms. the crew here would love to help. Particularly getting this beautiful and remote part of the world more valid waypoints.

PS I love the word bunk. What bunk! This is bunk! Love it.

I don’t know if anyone has posted this info, but you can find the Waypost criteria here: Wayspot Criteria — Wayfarer Help Center

Another good place to check out is the Criteria Clarification Collection, as it covers some of the most discussed POIs.

Lastly, looking up Norway House, MB, it may be considered a rural/low-density area. There are 2 threads that you may want to check out: 1 about what to look for in rural/low-density areas, and another about a test happening in some European countries in low-density areas that, if it goes well, may get extended to other parts of the world:
