The buses would not be stationary in the same place, so would not make good Wayspots.

Ingress does have a van portal, but that is an exception.

Yes, unfortunately, all Wayspots must be permanently affixed, so moving vehicles do not meet criteria. A vehicle at a museum that’s on permanent display would be one that may meet criteria. The below train caboose is on permanent display outside of an old train depot, so it’s a good example of a vehicle that meets criteria.

Also, even if they are each different in design, buses are pretty generic vehicles in many cities; most people see a few a day, or even ride them themselves. Because they’re common, they are indistinct as well. The ones in my city also have business advertisements on them, so they are also moving billboards in that respect.

そして、バスではなくバス停の話です。

Unfortunately, most bus stops are not eligible, and even here, bus routes are fixed, but the buses themselves still move around and don’t stay in one place.

Now, larger transit hubs are eligible, as they may be great places to socialize and encourage exploration. A transit stop sign is pretty generic and indistinct, and is typically ineligible. The bus stop signs near where I live don’t have Wayspots, and many may be at ineligible locations as well, such as private residences, schools, etc.

First consider what the subject of your Wayspot candidate is being set up or managed or stored for. You have indicated bulletin boards as a contrast. A bulletin board reports and guides community activities. It invites people to participate in activities and encourages them to join. That is why it is the best place for interaction. Of course, a bulletin board that is not used to inform people about community activities, such as a bulletin board used only to manage a housing complex or to advertise business activities, is not a Wayspot. So what about major passenger rail stations? They are set up to assist people’s transportation. But that is not all. Many railroad companies are also involved in the real estate business. The intention is to make the station the center of the city, and street malls and the like will form around many stations. So it is considered a great place to explore and socialize. So what about bus stops? For what purpose is there a bus stop in that location? Is it the center of that city center? Can you go there and talk about each of its attractions individually? If you can, introduce it to us as a candidate.
