I have to confess that I am very confused. ML accepted eight resort pools I submitted on vacation last week. This might be a good one to appeal, but be aware you are limited to 2 appeals, each on a 20 day timer before you can use it again.

If you resubmit, I would use the title “Alex Beach Pool” since the nearby sign says “Alex Beach”. Maybe the Main photo could either show the entire pool OR focus on an entrance gate to the pool. Perhaps the ML thought this was a backyard pool from the photo?

Oh, and I don’t think this contributed to the “Wayfarer criteria” rejection, but I like to put something about why I think this meets criteria in the supporting section. Pools meet all three: exercise, exploration, and being social imo.

Yes, you make good points.

Thought it would be an auto accept so didn’t get too fussy. Maybe title change to Alex Beach Tourist Park swimming pool ???

On the contribution advice the google map extract says “Alex Beach Cabins & Tourist Park” – I assumed ML would read that and approve.

Hard to get a pic of that pool without people — maybe if I am in that area at the crack of dawn … but really the pics I supplied should suffice

Overhead satellite shots … well the pools get obscured by the shade sails. Nominated the adjacent playground too – which has gone to queue.

Just another frustration when I thought I ws going ok — previous 8 noms approved by ML no worries.

Many thanks for your input.

I would appeal this first if you have appeals to use.

Agree. When ML makes a bad decision, it is good to let Niantic know. That helps with the “Learning” part.

I have re submitted this one noting in the support notes that accomodation complex pools are now eligible.

In the meantime I have had another swimming pool not accepted with reason being private property. So … a lot of reviewers (including AI) may not be aware of the eligibility.

When reviewing I reckon I have positively reviewed at least 20 such pools. (thinking … what an easy agreement!) Most have mentioned Niantic new eligibility status in the supporting notes. Of course, I don’t know if they have been accepted or not.

Based on this experience…In future I too — will mention new status in the nom.

its hard to understand why the AI (ML) doesn’t know of the change and approve them. Not good customer service in my opinion.

Any thoughts? And how can reviewers be made aware of the eligibility change?

Many thanks for your consideration.

I have had three swimming pool submissions not accepted now. These are all part of accommodation complexes that have been deemed eligible for quite some time.

So it seems reviewers don’t know.

Why has the ML artificial intelligence not been set up to accept them automatically?

Very frustrating
