Unable to move a wayspot

Hey there,

So I have this wayspot (which is very proudly my first one being accepted), but it was not accurately placed back then. I’ve tried multiple times to move the location (even with upgrade), but it was rejected everytime. I think it’s a little bit too difficult to see on Maps, so maybe that’s why it’s being rejected?

Ingame, it currently shows too close to the main street and due the trees and bushes growing is Spring, it’s sometimes really hard to see without the accurate location.

The edit is less than 10m, but I’ve also tried to go via Chat, just because I’m able to post images here. I usually lose my session before receiving an answer, but once I saw an auto-generated reply telling me to download Scaniverse and move forward from there. Is that usually the way to go? Do you have any other tips for me to successfully edit this wayspot?

I believe that you must be referring to the Wayspot Sammelplatz am Park, as that matches up to what is listed as the current location from the screenshot. From the photos and your screenshot, I’m having a hard time finding this on Street View. This may be one where you need to either get a Scaniverse splate or geotagged photos of the correct location, and either appeal one of your locations edits and provide a link to the splat and/or photos. You can also try to ask for the move via help chat with the splat/photos.

FYI, that is a chat ticket saver browser extension from Wayfarer Tools that you may want to search online for. We can’t post the direct link, but it saves tickets onto the browser and device that you used to submit the ticket, and it has come in handy for me in the past.

Scaniverse is a free app for creating 3D scans. It is fairly easy to use. Depending on your phone it can take a while to process the scan into a nice image. But you should be able to show the object and the area around it. You then share the link which gives the location to the team.
The team can then decide on the move.

As someone who’s dealing with a similar issue, what is the process like for moving a wayspot less than 10 meters? It’s there a way to do it without the chat bot? My browser keeps resetting the chat and it’s extremely frustrating

The options I can choose there never seem to match up to what I want to do, but I just pick something, and then explain the issue with any evidence I have. If the acknowledge of receipt of the report email asks for your credentials as property owner, do NOT reply. A human will respond shortly.

Thanks everyone for your help, it finally worked. I added a scan via Scaniverse and videos showing how the wayspot aligns with other things that are more visible in satellite images on Maps (trees and buildings around it). I also left the device with the ticket open and rechecked every couple of hours, relogged from another tab just to be sure I wouldn’t lose the ticket history.
