In my city, everyone in the community seems happy to have a Bank portal. I don’t think my community doesn’t like it. only a few people in other places didn’t like it, fly and reported that. in my country there were also a few people who tried to nominate the bank, and the reactions of other people were also very surprised and happy. I would not consider people refusing a bank submission to be toxic. Unless you can specify otherwise they do not meet the criteria of being a GREAT place to socialize, explore, or exercise.

AGAIN. Banks are not eligible as great places to socialize, exercise, or explore. It does not matter if they are owned by private companies or the state. It does not matter if the locals accept them.
We can just stop discussing the eligibility of banks now. And we can stop pointing fingers at other users in this topic.

Your comparison of “Hội trường” = “Hall” with Banking is two different fields, state-owned banks or chain banks are the same. If it does not meet any of Wayfayer’s criteria, it will not be accepted.

Third, there is a common desire to create a Wayspot, a hall for community activities, but there are still limitations, as are banks.
I have rejected more than 10 nominations for this Bank in Vietnam and now Niantic accepts the appeal for players while this is a bank with a large chain of branches in Vietnam??? ???

Can you point out who is trying to nominate the Bank? Turns out the senior advisors here are even denying it and they’ve pointed out why it’s invalid.
Second, Niantic’s category section has many things such as K12, police station, fire station, hospital,… This category is just for the community to choose what they want to identify objects to create nominations, not It is not based on this as a criterion to create a Bank.
And Third: The hall or community meeting place does not restrict any individual’s access, in the sense that it is a place accessible to the community, depending on the scale of each locality and region.

You should read this instead of sifting through each item in the Caterory. Because the items in the Caterory are just options and not the deciding factor, these are the typical allowed nominations

You are introducing criteria that the community here has not accepted in the past. Here people are not satisfied with the criteria related to the Bank. You give reasons to prove it’s worth it but look, what you give doesn’t convince the community but is just trying to protect your own point of view. Not to mention you don’t really understand the nomination criteria or really understand what Wayfayer is.

The categories list doesn’t determine eligibility. It merely is there to help people describe the proposal.
There are many things on the list of categories that aren’t considered generally eligible like voting booths and landfills. There are many others that are questionable. Something being included on the drop-down list doesn’t make it automatically eligible. Nothing is automatically eligible.
If you truly believe you’ve got a valid proposal, make the argument in the nomination. Demonstrate what makes your nomination special. If you really want a Wayspot at a bank, find something special at that bank and nominate that. Is there a fountain outside? A mural painted on one of the walls? An interesting architectural element to the building? An art installation in the lobby? A plaza nearby? A bank in and of itself isn’t going to fulfill the requirements for being places to exercise, explore or socialize. If that’s incorrect, and the bank in question meets one of those criteria, show it on the nomination. That’s what the supplemental information box is meant for.
I’m not trying to dismiss anyone’s opinions. I genuinely want everyone to get what they want: quality POIs to play their games. But just adding to the map without regard for the guidelines doesn’t accomplish that. It ends up creating an endless back and forth like what seems to be happening here for the past few days.

i think that by using the catagory to tell what it is, is a future way to just remove 1000s of portals in 1 sweep. Like gravestones. or commercial building. tree. I mean they are all not portals/stops.
What seems to be missing from this discussion is the fact that any POI must meet one of the three eligibility criteria, which include it must be a great place to socialize, a great place to exercise, or a great place to explore. It’s a very difficult argument to make that a bank would fit any of those three, which is why they typically do not make good Way spot submissions. All of the other arguments about it being publicly accessible or having a PokéStop is a nice thing to have while you’re waiting to do your business are irrelevant. The simple thing is they need to meet one of the three eligibility, criteria, and foremost. Then not fall under exclusion criteria.

Just answer this, do the banks meet any of social, exploration or exercise criteria?
