Want to appeal my wayspot nomination

I want to appeal my Wayspot Nomination. I received gifts from Similar PokeStops named Little Library. This was the third or forth time i attemped this Wayspot nomination. I even renamed and everything. What else am i do to. Would like to get an additional gym if not a PokeStop

Welcome to the forum @Porky81592424

Little free libraries can be eligible, but a lot of them are on private residential property which makes them ineligible. Without seeing where it is, it’s hard to say for certain why it’s being rejected, but being on private residential property is usually the main rejection reason for these.

Welcome! To add to the above, this is not where you appeal rejected nominations. You appeal them from your Contributions page on the Wayfarer site. You get 2 appeals, each on a 20 day timer. If the “Appeal” button is not showing for you, you may have to wait.

I would strongly suggest you post screenshots of your nomination here for advice before appealing. I am surprised an LFL was rejected by “our team” so you may want to improve the nomination and resubmit instead of appealing anyway.

Ok thank you for the clarification have a good day or night

Ok this is my first appeal and got a reply for why it may have rejected but
if you can help more that would be great. Thank you for yourtimeOn Sat, Nov

What is the location of this LFL?

Also, ML could have rejected for influencing reviewers. It’s not recommended to mention any game related terms, even though the supporting info doesn’t get posted to the Lightship map when a Wayspot is added.

It’s near a Vancouver Island University Learning Center not a school perse

Ok, but that isn’t the exact location. We need to know where it’s located to get a better idea. We could also use the supporting photo, as that will help, too.

You can find all of this in Contribution Management on the Wayfarer website.

Ok here is what I submitted .

I had a feeling it was on this island, just didn’t know where.

So, there’s no Street View, nor does this location have a name on satellite view, and your supporting photo doesn’t show the LFL in the surrounding area. PoGo doesn’t have the best wording for what to include in a supporting photo, but it should include what is being nominated AND the surrounding area.

This is from a LFL that I submitted earlier this year, in a park that doesn’t have Street View. I made sure to show some of the other features at the park, such as the basketball court, picnic shelter, and road into the park, along with the LFL. The nearest street does has an old Street View, but being the LFL was installed last year, it won’t be seen on Street View.

In the supporting info text, you need to tell us why this meets criteria. Good tings to include would be where it’s located (since there is no Street View and it isn’t an official LFL on the LFL website), that it can be safely accessed by all in the community

I also have a question about the main photo: is there still writing on the front of the LFL, or has that faded away? It’s hard to tell if there’s still writing on front, so that may be another issue with selling this as a LFL. I don’t know if you could see if a better sign could be added, or, if there are books inside, open it up and take a photo of what’s inside.

I’d also recommend reviewing the Wayspot criteria, along with the guidelines for what should be included when submitting a Wayspot. Here are the links to both:

Wayspot Criteria
Content Guidelines

Lastly, since there could be some improvements made, it may be better to resubmit than appeal. Like others have noted, you only get 2 appeals every 20 days, and sometimes it may be better to improve a nomination instead of appealing.

Ok thank you I’ll try again with the Little Library in Shot thank you

Yeah I could rewrite in it. Thanks for the help

As has been suggested it might be worth making a fresh nomination.

For the main photo I agree that the sign is hard to read so having the door open would probably work well - you can post pictures here to get feed back. In the supplementary info you can explain why you have photographed it that way. :sunglasses:

Then for supplementary make sure the LFL is in the picture, if necessary leave the door open. The key will be to take it an angle where someone can match with the shape of the buildings in satellite view.

It looks like a lovely place to live. :grinning:
