They can’t provide a complete example/the full proposition to let me check what was wrong. I don’t know what i did wrong I will never know except when I’ll get the next warn…
Do you have idea what I got this? How can I find the proposition?
This email is meant to help you reflect on some incorrect reviewing but there is inadequate information to achieve that purpose.
Even if you knew the date there is no way you can see what you did.
What is your current rating for reviewing and has it changed recently
Unfortunately we cant go back to see what we review. It seems wayfarer is seeing pattern in how you review. Please take time when you are reviewing and ensure that you follow wayfarer criteria. My guess is that you have quite number of dissagreement from general public (community said no but you said yes, or vice versa) . Did you receive account warning notice? If you did, its 1st strike from abuse ladder system
No, and even the bot didn’t notice so it’s fine. The name is “Statue of X” which is nice and very likely to be good proposition, so maybe I declined it because of photo and the wayspot have been approved
Yes the title doesn’t give much of a clue, so not surprised.
There is not much you can do except maybe take time to check all aspects carefully in review…..I became very slow at reviewing as I double and triple checked the text, the photo, the location. Even for the “simplest” looking nominations.
I believe that a basic feature of the Wayfarer page should be the ability to check review history.
I was once asked for advice about someone who received a similar email. I don’t know if this is for sure as it is hearsay information, but they said they received a response saying that a review they had approved was inappropriate. I don’t know if this is the case with you, but I hope you get a DM response from the staff detailing the problem.
The best way to get close to a review history is to request a GDPR of your record. They will provide all aspects but you can concentrate on a file that should have a record of your reviews and you should be able to see how you voted. That doesn’t help you understand why that turned out to be problematic.
And yes @CrownFeather in order to reflect on our own performance and decisions we need to be able to access our information in a useful way. Reflection is the best way to improve.
We also need to remind ourselves that sometimes because we are human we will make mistakes. We are volunteering our time to do something that requires judgement calls. Some will be a difference of opinion some will be a mistake, something missed. That’s life.
Moving forward you can appeal in the email and try to explain
Staff here might also DM you
If you succeed in appeal, wayfarer might remove the strike.
If appeal rejected, just becareful. After 1 year, the strike will be gone and your record will be clear again.
Abuse ladder system
1day warning
30days suspension
90days suspension
10years suspension
Try to be careful for 1 year. Next strike will be suspension. Depending on severity, it might not follow normal ladder and jump into more severe punishment.
The complete example should be sent with any educational email. Most explorers will not have the review history tool available at wayfarer.tools to be able to look up how or even what they reviewed.
If using our best judgment is not adequate, then we should have more clarifications.
I strongly suspect that we will not access to our review history in Wayfarer. Partly because it would have been provided by now, but mostly because I can see how easily it would be abused.
If you could easily see how your reviews compare to the eventual result (accepted/denied), you could look at your own reviews and work out how to change them to match the community decisions.
This would be a terrible thing for wayfarer, because (even more) people would vote based on how they think other people will vote, instead of using their own judgement.
Although it would be useful for people who have been sanctioned and genuinely don’t know why, then downside of this access are too great. The solution, as here, is for confused people to ask for assistance.
“people would vote based on how they think other people will vote” that the objective: if you’re badly reviewing, you should know why you are reviewing differently than the reality.
The goal is to let everyone be able to help for review, and make great reviews. If you see them, you will be able to make better reviews.
I think we will never have access to it mostly because niantic does not really wants to put effort in wayfarer and let it live with few mod/admin
