State Survey Markers have a lot to answer for… Anything in the ground is nominated. This surface fitting is v similar to a state permanent marker. It is a fire hydrant in NSW.
IT is also in a driveway.
In case anyone is interested…This is the hydrant. Note only the letter H… It has no numbers on it.
Then there are primary markers that indicate where the hydrant is… Often found on light poles or telegraph poles…
They will have another letter and numbers - they indicate where the hydrant is in metres and size of fitting in millimetres. For example. Letter H. Two sets of numbers. Then Letter P. That is saying Hydrant on path.
If there was a black line in middle of marker. That indicates is located across the road.
Any how I rejected it.
