Hello!
I started years ago reviewing, and after about 700/800 reviews, I realized I had dropped to ‘poor/fair,’ with my Pokémon Go medal stuck at 309/1500. Since then, I’ve been trying my best to improve my reviews, but it’s been about 6 months and more than 1000 reviews later, and I’m still stuck at ‘Fair.’
Can someone check my data?
What am I doing wrong?
Will I ever be able to get back to at least ‘Good’?
With the challenge these days, I’ve tried to get back into the game.
I do wish we got examples of where we disagreed with the other reviewers and got a “disagreement”. It would really help us improve our ratings - or question if we actually did the right thing and maybe the consensus was wrong!
I hope you get some answers, and some support to improve your rating. I know how demoralising it is when it drops and you don’t know why!
I do my reviews in batches (say 20 to 30 nominations) each day so that I always have sufficient “completed reviews” in the overall queue. This volume will hopefully cover any of my reviews that do not match the rest of the reviewing community.
If you have any doubts about a review, you can
ask yourself (i.e. in your opinion) does the nomination meet one (or more) of the three qualifying criteria - a great place to explore, socialise or exercise.
be guided (to an extent) by other nearby approved wayspots appearing on the map that are similar to the nomination that you are reviewing.
where a “grey area” exists, do a quick key word search in the Wayfarer Community. In most cases, this will provide you with further guidance
hit the skip button and move onto the next review. I believe that this action does not have any impact upon your rating. You should note that heavy use of the skip button will result in a “cool-down period” of 24 hours before you can use the skip button again.
Hopefully, your rating will bounce back to good / great soon.
Advice I was given here was to take a bit of time on each review.
Even if the image confirms a definate Refuse still click Satallite view / Street View on the map. This seems to tell the system that you are not just speed rejecting / accepting.
After this advice I went from Fair to Great in about a week…
