Is there an option to find out why certain pokestops and powerspots don’t show up?

do you mean in the new map? if you have a specific current question you can make a new topic.

If its about powerspots now you can either up a new topic as @cyndiepooh suggested or have a look at this topic if it helps or add to it.

This roadmap is amazing.

Quick dumb question: For Web Wayspot + Edit Summission, does that means a way to submit wayspots & edits via a website?

the menu item is already there
https://wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/new/submit
right now it doesn’t do anything

I don’t think that is new but is the obvious place to put a new Nominate via Web.

Oh I didn’t not mean to imply that this was new. I was pointing out exactly this, that the perfect place to put this function already exists.

As with everything, the success of this will be determined by how it’s implemented. It’s great that the team is undertaking big projects like this. Here’s hoping everything works out!

All jokes about the map aside, can we appreciate all the Wayfarer ambassadors and Niantic staff for listening to the community and providing great communication and plans?

I understand the system might not be perfect, but it’s clear that the staff and the people representing Wayfarer are trying to improve it. They’re working on quicker decisions, shortening the backlog, providing more appeal chances, and, most importantly, listening to and evaluating the community’s needs.

Please never change, y’all!

Bad idea, it’s just going to emphasize even more so the huge disparity between rural and city players. This time there will be concrete evidence provided by Niantic.

I failed to see your point.

  1. If a city is already crowded with Wayspot, wouldn’t that make it harder to post a good Wayspot, or even motivated by it? I found myself posting more on rural than on city, but that’s probably how my country work.

  2. How would a leaderboard cause huge disparity? I don’t think it will reward anything, and it highlight people who explore a lot and submit wonderful Wayspots. For most people that use Wayfarer, they want to post a couple of Wayspots to make the game they play easier.

A lot depends on what the leaderboard shows.

But a critical point is that it is described as opt in. So it will be a self selecting group of wayfinders that want to take part and therefore not representative of the wider wayfarer community. ( no idea what proportion will want to take part)

I’m in the group of not liking the leaderboard, but if some people want it, I don’t see the issue. Some people are more competitive than others, and I have no issue with that.
