Especially when it’s an offer of nice things that you can opt in / out of.
Don’t like the map don’t use it.
Don’t want to be on the leader board don’t opt in.
Don’t want the email, you don’t have to have it.

Nothing, read the part right after that to see my grievance.
imo you seem to be looking for a problem but ok
11 posts were merged into an existing topic: Would changes to criteria be useful
There is a broad useful discussion about criteria, clarification and the impact on “rural” areas here ( I use rural loosely as experience here is that globally it means different things to different people ).
This is the main thing that caught my eye as well. Hopefully, similar to the old Ingress map, although I don’t see why this can’t be integrated into Campfire somehow
I hope it remains seperate from Campfire. Don’t like Campfire and don’t want to be compelled to use it.
I want a map I can use on my computer. I don’t want a mobile only map. I just panicked when I read this suggestion that it could be added to Campfire.
The best option is a map that works on both computers and mobile devices. The map accessible through our web browser is the optimal choice.
Love this idea. Very good suggestion
I can see an argument for the data to be imported into Campfire so that Gyms, Pokestops and Powerspots can be seen, but I would prefer a seperate platform for a map for Wayfarer if possible.
For me the map must have all the used waypoints (Stop / Gym / Powerspot).
Extremely hoping for S2 Cells and unused wayspots.
But… I am happy to see what we get, then discuss what we would like adding / changing then it is down to staff to decide what they want to give.
I will be happy for just a real time map but as it’s a Wayfarer map I would expect more ![]()
Some people seem to be picking faults with something that we haven’t seen yet…
As for Campfire they could make it a browser based Campfire that runs alongside the app version?
The web-based version of Campfire seems limited, currently, to browsing for meetups and I think a lot of people don’t know it exists - Campfire - but I wonder if it could be a basis for the laptop-friendly Wayfarer map
I was 1 of them… Thanks
Lowering the level to the point where nominating and rating are possible is a serious logical flaw. You should have set up adding and rating POIs at level 40, but with higher levels, players should be unlocking features like increased reporting range, etc. Creating a “game board” should be accessible only to experienced players.
There is a difference to being experienced at Pokemon Go and being experienced at Wayfarer.
What ever level they decide to allow nominations you are going to be new at it and make mistakes.
Making you play Pokemon Go a little longer is not going to drastically change how people nominate.
As you play longer, you see what objects are POIs, how people organize the space, and where objects are missing.
New players often add anything, anywhere, and recently, I’ve seen many false nominations in my review, including AI-generated ones.
Yes but that’s from Pokemon Players that have reached at least Level 35!!!
Making them wait until level 40 is unlikely to change the quality of nominations.
You are stating that instead of waiting until people are experienced Po-Go players you should make them wait until they are “slightly” more experienced…
And people are not making AI Generated nominations because they believe that it is legit, they are doing it to cheat the game board and think they will get away with it. They would attempt this whether they are Level 10, 35 or the new Level 80…
Level entry being lowered has been doing a wonderful job for my Vietnamese community, as a lot of rural players get to submit high quality submissions such as Temple, Community Center, Chruch or Sport field.
And as @SlimboyFat71 said:
The core problem of Wayfarer is the educational problem. How do you communicate with submitter/reviewer, how do you explain the Gray area in some submissions. It is not a level issue.
Localized guidelines (provided by users’ approval cases), officially reflect tehstone’s review tool, reviewers are obligated to comment in case of stop rejection, quick re-examination (requested by existing reviews) after complementing the shortcomings in case of rejected stops, additional photo attachment to appeal, additional reviewer penalties in case of fair stop rejection, or retraining.
