Every time a pub in the UK or RoI changes it’s name or comes under new brewery management it should be necessary to remove and resubmit it incase it now has access restrictions, offers adult oriented services whatever they are or any other unnamed unforeseen technicality?
No. If a business closes and there is another business in its place, it should be resubmitted.

I see now, my friend went for his regular pint and “The Century” waypoint has been removed!
Now basically someone just had to create a new waypoint in that area for “Mo Chara”, I think he’s a bit off level 37. But still! There’s some movement on it anyway.

You can help your friend get ready for when it’s time to submit.
Get a good photo - not easy to get one in a busy place without licence plates or recognisable people. If a sign for the pub is interesting that might be better.
Get text for the description and supplementary ready. You can put a link to the website in the supplementary information, and in the main description I would mention the business ethos of giving back to the community.
Don’t mention anything to do with Pokémon Go.
