Hi
My submission and appeal was rejected because its says there is a duplicate. The duplicate is another wayspot about 200m away that someone has used the sign in, but that wayspot is in the some inaccessible woods. I’m guessing created because it’s close to someone’s house. I have also reported that wayspot twice and both times it was rejected. There also 3 other wayspots in that area that are also incorrect and in the wrong location for the photo. They create a circle around some houses.
My nomination - The Cut Countryside Corridor Access point
I did not get any more of a reason than this
Thank you for your Wayspot nomination appeal for The Cut Countryside Corridor Access point on Sep 1, 2025.
Unfortunately, Niantic has decided that your nomination should not be added as a Wayspot. Keep in mind that any changes based on this decision can take up to 48 hours to be reflected in Niantic products that will use this Wayspot.
These are locations of the Wayspots. Yellow dot is the current, false one, red dot is the correct location that I submitted
Any suggestions on how to resolve this please?
Welcome to the forums.
The submission is unfortunately a duplicate of the incorrectly placed wayspot. You can’t get a second wayspot for the same object and the only option is to get the existing wayspot moved, if it is in the correct position.
You need to either appeal the rejection for the move or make a new request via the help chat. You will help your case a lot of providing solid evidence of the correct location.

Thanks. I have used live chat and created a ticket
Hello and Welcome,
Getting some evidence such as photos showing the GPS data (GPSCameraApp) proving the wrongly placed wayspot is not at the given location may help your case.
Option 1: As stated try and get the original moved to the correct location.
Option 2: Place a Removal Request on the original, if this goes through re-submit you nomination in the correct location.

I considered that, but decided that removal would require pretty much the same evidence as the move, but it is indeed an option
Thanks. GPS camera app is a great idea so will also send them that
This has not been marked as a duplicate of the wrongly placed wayspot. There is a wayspot for this object at 51.426464, -0.766566 which is pretty much where you’ve placed the red dot on the map. I would imagine that it’s in a level 17 S2 cell that already contains a different Pokéstop or Gym, which is why it can’t show up as one itself. You should still be able to see it as a wayspot used in other games if you physically go to the location (this is very important, it cannot be done remotely) and begin the new submission process. On the screen where you place the map pin, it should be visible as an orange wayfarer icon. You can tap on these icons to see what they represent.

Did I read it right that accepted nominations will appear on this Map straight away but won’t appear in game until the next “successful” sync?
Could this all sort itself out once the Sync process starts playing nicely again
Yes. The Wayspots show as an exclamation point as soon as they are accepted. The “used in other games” message confuses some people because they don’t realize it can still sync in.

Thanks, you are correct, but what is very odd is both wayspot’s use the same image.
So I can see what is going on. There are multiple of these signs. They all look the same, but they all have different “you are here” locations on them that reflect where they actually are. The one you tried to submit is in the correct location but unable to appear, which you’ve verified yourself. The incorrect one you’re showing us is very far off though. It’s not the same as the one you’re trying to submit. Looking at the red sticker on it, it should be somewhere around 51.429051,-0.757331 - this location edit would be too far to submit in game, and I’m not sure of the exact coordinates, as whilst I can see the “you are here” bubble, I can’t see exactly where it’s pointing to, and there’s no street view on the grassy area anyway. You’d probably need to go and find the correct coordinates with a GPS tagged photo and tell the support chat to move it. Make sure to ask that they carefully look at the “you are here” bubble to show that it matches up.
