Wayspot got removed

Hi, this wayspot appeared ingame a while ago but disappeared a day later. Can you please reconsider to add this wayspot back.

  • Wayspot Title: Fietsroute 55
  • Location (lat/lon): (51.1758484, 3.5706338)
  • City: Eeklo
  • Country: Belgium
  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information): I haven’t received an email.
  • Additional Information (if any):

Hi,
Since you are looking to have this and the other one restored the staff will need something to show that it should be restored.
So for example an up to date photograph preferably geotagged to show it still exists at that location.
A common reason for removal is if they are considered to be on Single Family Private residential Property (SFPRP) if that might be the case you should make a case for them being on public land.
It looks like from this title that it might be a trail of some sort. Trail markers in Netherlands and Belgium have been found in the past to be wrongly accepted. You need to clearly demonstrate they are official and part of a trail. If you look around this forum you will find a lot of discussion about them.

oh, there are three posts about very similar topics. would it be best to combine them?

These are 2 separate restoration requests so better kept separate. The other seems to be more general and for now it can be separate but will review :+1:

I can see the sign on streetview, it is one of the official signs in Belgium & The Netherlands for recreational biking routes, see this picture

And this is the screenshot from google maps

Someone told me today that my pogo account can actually get banned if I keep nominating these signs, is that actually true? I really don’t want to lose my account :face_with_peeking_eye:

If you keep sending in unacceptable signs, yes in extreme cases it could happen, but the wayfarer team always has a extensive look first before actually banning someone. You shouldn’t be too worried.

I have read someone getting email from repeatedly submitting low quality submission. But just for your reference, its not easy to get this strike, as long you stick to wayfarer criteria. If you repeatedly submit thing just because you want wayspot in certain location thats definitely ineligible, that might land you a trouble.

Many long time wayfarers openly state about how sometimes it have taken them numerous attempts to get something they believe to be acceptable through the system.

I think if you try to improve the nomination before re-submitting you should be safe.

If you have been here and been told that the “lamp post” definitely does not meet criteria and you try another 10 times without any changes a warning would be appropriate.
