Wayspot rejections

Hello,
I have 3 nominations where I dont know reason for rejection. Can you tell me more? There are no wayspot in 0.5 km.

Thanks

Welcome to the community. I would be interested to know how each of these are described? This could explain how or why they were rejected. I could see myself favourably voting in favour of the first 2, on the 3rd one, I would need to understand context before I could decide as it’s just a stone with 1900 on it. It could be significant, but would need more info.

Thank you for your reply. I described these nominations just as you can see in the pictures:
First one-
This is welcome sign in PeÄŤice. Wen you will came to this village, this sign will be the first sign you will see. After this sign is another of PeÄŤice village.// I cant say nothing more. Its just welcome sign but I think it should be nice pokestop.
Second:
Water pump near cemetery in PeÄŤice. People are pumping water for watering plants on cemetery. It is in public place, also important for people there.// This water pump is working ant it is higly used but I cant prove it unles i will do pohoto with people pumping water there and it is against rules (people in pics).
Third:
Historical foundation stone. On public place near the main road. // It should be year when the wall of cemetery was built. I also dont have some website or something. Its just what our grandmother said. But why they would do stone in wall with year on it, right? So I believe it is foundation stone. First stone. And it is also impotrant because every cemetery needs a decent wall. So thats also nice pokestop I think.
Should I add something else to my reply? Did I miss something?

Sorry, my fault. Should have read the post properly. That’s on me.

I would avoid using the word cemetary in your fountain nomination, especially if it’s not located on a cemetary itself. Cemetaries, in general, are no longer accepted, with a few exceptions. If the fountain isn’t located on a cemetary site, I would resubmit it without the mention. If it is on a cemetary site, I’ll bow down to other people’s knowledge as to whether it’s suitable or not.

Regarding the foundation stone, do you have any more information regarding it that could explain it’s historical significance? Could be added to the supporting information, but am wondering if more information provided could help with getting it approved.

On the first one, is there anything you could add to the description or supporting information that explains the significance of the shield? I personally think on its own it should be ok, but may help.

Sorry, i would not accept any of these.

  1. The welcome sign does not look like it has safe pedestrian access. It’s very close to the road. Do people really walk by it or stand there?

  2. This is not a great place to socialize, exercise, or explore.

  3. If the cemetery is still active, thst stone is the same as nominating the sign for the cemetery, I think. You need to explain a lot more about why the cemetery is significant and explain how locals will be OK with visitors playing a game here. Most cemeteries in the game allow visitors for all kinds of exploring and even give tours.

D’oh… You are right on the first one. Missed the grass verge bit. 2nd one, I’ve seen a few of these as waypoints. Are these not eligible? (Assuming it’s accessible). I would question as to whether it’s on the cemetary or not. The 3rd one is a boundary stone that isn’t listed as being on the cemetary.

The 3rd one is literally, according to the OP, the foundation stone for the wall around the cemetery.

Drinking fountains have slipped through in Spain and maybe other countries. But when Niantic says that “fountains” are good wayspots, they really should have said “decorative fountains.” Drinking fountains are just public infrastructure and really don’t meet any criteria - typically. This one that is only used to water the cemetery flowers, certainly doesn’t meet any criteria.

Hello.

  1. we live in coutryside. We dont have sidewalks here. Any. So we are really walking by the roads here. Almost every pokestop is on the road here. I know in big cities this is not common but here it is so natural.
  2. I wonder why it is not good place for explore? It is not by the main road.
3)This is not on the cemetery. It is part of the cemetery wall. You can see it in second picture. There is a lot of benches ( you can see one) outside and people can sit here and play. If they are quiet they wont bother anyone.
  1. I understand that rural areas don’t often have sidewalks. But do people honestly walk by the welcome sign? It seems like they would walk around inside the town. But in order to get to the town, they would be in some kind of vehicle. What speed do people travel on the road right there?

  2. No, no one is exploring when they fill up a bucket with water. They are just performing a routine task of life.

  3. Who do you think the cemetery wall belongs to? The cemetery wall is part of the cemetery.

Just out of interest, is the water pump still active? If so, it definitely won’t be suitable. The welcome sign, whilst it’s interesting, it might be a hard sell as it’s on the road. Regarding the Boundary Stone, I need more information.

  1. people are walking there everyday. By this road. It is connection for village to the cemetery. There is one other way but it is by road too. So this way is used more often.
  2. ok
  3. ok

Warer pump is still active. So i should try it again with welcome sign? I can try to find more information online about this stone but I didnt find anything yet.

The Welcome sign and the Water pump I wouldn’t bother resubbing. I hear your point about it being walkable, but the issue is down to pedestrian / player safety. The Boundary stone, if it can be demonstrated that it’s not attached to the cemetary and is on public grounds and has safe access (pavement, etc), you might have a case. But you will need to provide as much information as possible, and also avoid using cemetary, if it’s not attached to the cemetary. If it’s on cemetary grounds, you might struggle.

A wall of a property is still considered part of the property, even if accesible from the outside.
