Hi everyone! I have posted today to ask why my waystop keeps on being rejected. I feel like this deserves to be a wayspot and it is not one yet. I have put in an appeal but I just want to ask why it happens? The contribution is down below
Firstly, welcome to the community.
Regarding your nomination, do you know what the rejection reason was? Also, can you let us know what the title and description is?
If I am looking at this without any details, I would struggle to see how it meets any of the Niantic criterias of socialising, exploring or exercising.
Welcome to the forum!
It would help more to discuss here before you put in an appeal so you would know what to address in the statement. If you want our opinions anyway, we could help more if you provide snapshots from your contributions page showing all the information: Title, main photo, description, supporting photo, and supporting text. The location helps, too, in case the rejection is based on what reviewers see on Maps, but if you don’t want to disclose your location, that is understandable.
I don’t understand what I am looking at from the photo, although it is a very nice photo.
It looks to me like this is a cemetery. The leaves appear to have names and dates written on them. It looks like a place of mourning. These places are not eligible as wayspots.
Disagree with this. Stuff in graveyards cam be accepted, such as historical graves, war memorials or memorials of something important,
my one near me even has information signs ,sas can graveyards if they are of historical importance (like in glasgow we have the north and south necropolis, as well as the main necropolis)
Hello and welcome
It’s a great photo…..but
It appears as though this is actually a mass produced item.
It is also likely to be at a place of active mourning so a sensitive location.
Hi @MasterzV
I’ve moved your topic to Nomination Support
I’d still lean towards it being distinct for the location it’s in, but I’m always doubtful about cemeteries in general.
Well wait till original poster talk more
