From the Wayspot title and Photo, we can tell it’s an information board.

According to Streetview in 2020, we can see that this information board is still there. (Red circle)

In Streetview in 2022, we found that a new information board appeared on his right side. (Yellow Circle)

In the street view of 2024, we can find that the information board on the left has been removed, while the one on the right is still there.

To confirm this, I arrived at the scene and took this photo as proof. The new information board (which is yellow circle) is still there, but the old one (left hand side) has been removed. You can use the red bridge on the left as a comparison point.

We can recognize it as a compass pointer on the ground, used to identify east, west, north and south.

In 2009, the road had not yet been widened to the rear, only to this point

In 2022, the road has been extended to the rear, so this ground decoration has naturally been removed.

I used orange, red and green color to highlight in the street view photos: retaining wall, distant island, and distant coast. You can recognize that the two photos are at almost the same location.

Note:
Regarding the road extension here, this blog article mentioned:
"Next to Dawulun Beach is the Dawulun Fishing Port, and continue walking for about 500 meters until you reach the end of Huhai Road, which is the so-called “Lake Bay”. In the past, this place was a privately operated saltwater swimming pool paradise. Now it has been demolished and renovated into a public seaside leisure square. It has a tourist service station and provides catering for tourists to relax and watch the sea. 』

Thanks for the appeal, @EONloveu. After reviewing the additional evidence provided, we’ve decided to retire the Wayspots in question.
