Wayspots ‘appearing in other games’

I find it so frustrating when you take time and effort to create Waystops that never make it into Pokémon Go. I have submitted 5 stops recently and only one of them made it in. What is the criteria/determination for what stops get into Pokémon Go? It feels like a waste of time and puts me off doing it. I’ve seen screenshots of places where the map is inundated with stops and gyms, I just want to add one more stop locally to have something else to spin and possibly get a gym. It’s not worth the effort when your attempts are continuously made to benefit elsewhere.

It is frustrating when you see screenshots of other locations with a lot of places on the gameboard and your own area is very different.

There are several reasons why those places are like that and the screenshots that get onwards posted often don’t have the full context. The pictures could be from a special event, there could be sponsored stops, it could be an area that had been maliciously manipulated or it could simply be an area packed with eligible locations.

It is best to not concern yourself with those situations, but to focus on making the most of what you do have. It is complicated but do read the information in the previous post about S2 cells. We will happily answer questions about it. A key is planning your area so that instead of approvals not appearing you start to get the satisfaction of pokestops and gyms.

So even though your aim is small - to get 1 pokestop - it needs planning but if you want to post in nomination support we will try to help.

After a re-read of your post could you confirm whether…

  • Your nominations have been Accepted but not appeared in Pokemon Go.

Your nomination may…

  • become a Powerspot (Dynamax / Gigantamax) depending on its proximity to other waypoints.
  • replace the existing waypoint if that is removed for legitimate reasons. ***
  • be used in other Scopely games.

***Do Not attempt to get a legitimate wayspot removed just to get yours on to the map. This is seen as Abuse and can lead to suspension / bans of all accounts (Wayfarer, Pokemon Go and any other Scopely games.

  • Your nominations are not being accepted.
