Oh! my pokestop!

A Wayspot I nominated was approved on October 18, 2025, but it has never appeared in Pokémon GO. I have submitted reports, but there has been no action, and I confirm it is not a duplicate. Can you please check and ensure it is added to the game? I look forward to your honest response and resolution

Hey there! If you’re comfortable sharing GPS coordinates somebody can check to see if it may meet general inclusion limits.

Your submission email should have those coordinates available.

Does this red pin look like the right spot?

There are at least 3 other Wayspots in that Level 17 S2 cell as of May 23 of this year, so this would not be eligible to be a Pokestop if this is the correct place. You may want to read this topic for more explanation: Why an accepted Wayspot may not be used in Pokemon Go (S2 cells and Pokemon Go)

Thanks for the PokéStop photos you sent — I’ve reviewed them, but the two PokéStops I marked are not active. It seems you have incorrect information. Please check/verify.

Is this one active?

there can only be one pokestop or gym in each grid. the topic i linked explains this.

those dots are showing wayspots used as portals in the ingress game, not pokestops.

Pokemon Go can only have one active pokestop/gym per cell, so only one of those existing locations can be active. This is why the ones with the X are not active.

As @cyndiepooh explained above, that’s what’s blocking your nomination from appearing in Pokémon GO. Please check the post they linked, it will explain it in more detail.

I matched the photo you sent with the actual PokéStop.
The one I submitted was only 20m away, and I’m really disappointed that it wasn’t reflected.
Is there no way to make it happen?

No, if it doesn’t meet the cell rules, it can’t be a Pokestop or a gym. It could potentially be used as a PowerSpot in the future.

The proximity rules are to prevent an area being overloaded with too many pokestops. There comes a point when it is difficult to play when you can’t click on a pokestop because there are too many.

Because it is based on cells, not distance, you have have wayspots a fair distance apart that are still in the same cell, while wayspots can be 2m apart and both appear because they are in different cells. This is an unavoidable consequence of this method of proximity checks, but on the whole it works well.

So to be clear, there is no 20m rule for Pokemon GO, that is for Ingress, and it is being splited. Only one S2 level 17 square can spawn 1 pokestops.

There is only 22m rule for a Powerspot in the making, in which if a Wayspot is in the same cell with one other pokestops, and it is distanced by 22meters with other pokestops nearby, it will become a PowerSpot

Thanks for the answers. So, according to the Level 17 rule, if there is a PokéStop in Area A, shouldn’t a PokéStop be allowed in Area B? Can you explain why it might be approved but not appear in the game?

A cell is the area bounded by the orange lines. You have put A and B over the lines. The main cell in this photo is between A and B, to the left of Samho-gil and including most of the top two buildings.

The red marker and two of the existing wayspots are in that cell.

I hope these quotes help.

Just a random question I am asking you. From what app or from where can you see these nomination or powerspots?

I am using an out of date map for Ingress, which is no longer updating with new Wayspots. If you want to try to install this, google “Pogotools” and follow the readme for this:

If you don’t have this set up already, I would not bother. The roadmap says a new Wayfarer map is coming.
