When I look at the picture, it probably means benches and table tennis tables. My question is: we have 2 communal pools and a small amphitheater, are they part of it?
We could help better with concrete examples. If I had to generalize, I would think that each pool and the amphitheater would all be eligible individually.
The photo in that clarification is showing what a common area for the community would be. A pool in one homeowner’s backyard that everyone uses with their permission would not be eligible because that would be SFPRP and not a communal space.
I’ve gotten 2 open grass amphitheaters accepted and am looking at a third to submit. The hardest part about them, IMO, is figuring out how to photograph them so you can “see” the tiers.
I took this photo from the side to show the “stage” area and the tiered seating.
This photo is not very exciting but it’s mostly an open green space.
I have waaaaaaaay too many accepted pools to include images.
This is a second pool in a community area that is fenced separately and clearly is used for a different purpose than the main pool, so I got it accepted using this description and by titling it the Diving Pool.
This is in a public park, but it may be kinda similar to an amphitheater. This is an outdoor classroom, available to rent.
Thank you, that gives me hope. What about community gardens and what should I look out for?
Gardens are a little bit more difficult. I dont bother with them unless there is something major to anchor the wayspot.
I thought these raised planters were good. But i had to get them approved on appeal.
These raised planters were accepted by ML.
These 2 gardens had signs to prove that they were a community garden. 1 in a park, the other vert clearly located on the oath around a lake to prove it wasn’t someone’s private garden.
If it says “Wayfarer criteria” that usually indicates an ML decision. If it was decided around 20-24 hours after you submitted, that also indicates ML, unless you used “Upload Later” which seems to affect the timing.
I am sure the ai had trouble detecting that as a pool. You could appeal the rejection. Appeals are handled by humans. You get 2 appeals, each on a 20 day timer before you can use them again, so pick your battles. I do tend to appeal when I think that ML got it wrong, to help with what the machine learns.
I love this nighttime photo with the water, but I have no idea how appeals reviewers will feel.
