Not all regions have ambos though, so this could be tough. We already have the criteria and guidelines, and these apply globally, so this would seem to be enough right now for us.
I think the only times we have really run into issues with certain regions is during global challenges, and we don’t have those very often anymore. Plus, when we do, the local Wayfinders are nice enough to post tips for reviewing in their countries many times.
Being this doesn’t have much to do with the web submission process, you may want to start a separate thread to discuss this.
Let’s stay on-topic, please. If you have feedback about web submissions, please continue to submit it here. If you have any other feedback, please consider opening up a new thread.
Every other time I try to submit something through the web form (even in one session without logging in or out in between) it will tell me I didn’t give permission to access my location, which is obviously incorrect since I literally submitted something else a couple of minutes prior. Hence I keep having to reload the submission form. Using Google Chrome on a Macbook
Well, guess I can’t use Chrome on my Windows 11 laptop, as the location is always off. I was able to use Edge on my laptop, and the location was accurate, so I’ll have to keep in mind that for the time being I’ll have to use Edge on my laptop.
I’d like to expose more cases on wayfarer’s showkstab now, it’s better to show them by category (including Niantic’s reviews and appeals). It’s shown right at login, and many reviewers can change their minds if they find out that the cafe, etc. is approved.
I’ve been thinking about it now, and I think it would be better to show more examples on wayfarer’s showcase tab, with tags such as approval/rejection/niantic’s review/application approval, etc. I think this alone will help a lot, so I don’t think there will be any discussion or complicated work.
Again, please open up a new thread for this feedback. This thread is for the discussion of the new web submission. What you are giving feedback on isn’t for the web submission, so it should be discussed elsewhere.
Unfortunately these fixes will be rolled back for some time while we address the current issue with blocked nomination submissions in Pokémon GO. We’re extremely sorry about this abrupt change and will bring these improvements back as soon as we find the fix.
Thank you for your understanding. More to come soon!
First of all as someone who puts a lot of effort into making high quality submissions, thank you, this is great!
Not sure if this has been mentioned but with the great feature of having up to 5 supporting photos, it may be helpful to be cautious around drawing attention to this.
The average reviewer may not notice and is not accustomed to seeing multiple photos, my concern is they will default to not looking at them. Considering submissions that have multiple photos are likely only added because they are particularly critical to that review.
Is there a method or can there be some direction on how to set the best/preferred supporting photo to be the one that is displayed first in the order or more visually pronounced?
My submission it looked like the first photo I selected in a group to upload at once ended up being the last one. e.g. selected photos 1-4, #4 is the first shown as the main supporting photo and 1 is the last.
On the review page, make it even more apparent and call attention to there being multiple photos in the review to consider.
Are you planning to show us the S2 cells on the web submission map? I wouldn’t even waste time submitting a POI if I knew it shared a cell with another POI…
