What misinformation? I’ve tried almost everything I can find online to fix this, and it’s getting frustrating, and you’re making it worse.

We do not know how Wayfarer is getting our location data for web submissions. That is not misinformation.

This is a public forum. It’s important for us all to be respectful when others are providing factual information and know when to drop your own interest in having the last word.

The real person who wins is not the person who has the last word.

I look forward to what other improvements the staff makes for the web browser nomination process.

I tried submitting from the website. When I clicked submit, I got a message telling me “an unexpected error occurred”. While the submission didn’t submit, it still used one of my available submissions.

No it was actually the first in a long time.
I had 40 available. The web one failed so I resubmitted through pokemon Go and ended with 38 available, and only one submission that went through.

What web browser were you using, and have you tried another one to see if you can replicate the issue? Also, are you using a mobile device, a PC, a Mac computer, and what operating system are you using (iOS, Android, Windows)?

So my submission from web got featured, it said Submitted by a fellow wayfinder despite I enable Codename Display for Wayspot Submissions. I haven’t check it in game.

thank you for reporting this issue - @NianticTintino does look here for these reports. if you have show name turned on, the expected behavior should be to see your name featured.

Sorry, am I misunderstanding this? The Wayfarer setting does let users opt out of having their PoGO account name displayed in game.

It’s not a bug I was aware of before. I don’t follow all bugs for web submit, as this is something that isn’t a bother to me.

The person specified using the web submit option, not having name credit, while having the toggle turned on. This is very applicable for web submit.

I just replied that I didn’t know this was a known bug, and it appears that others didn’t know as well.

Not all of us know of all of the bugs around web submit, or just bugs in general. I appreciate Roli posting that it is a known bug, and will move on.
