When I tried on Desktop the map did not appear the 1st time even though Location was enabled.
I refreshed the page, uploaded the 2 images and the map appeared…
Just noticed two bugs with the map:
- On dark mode, the existing wayspot info popup still has a white background, which makes the light grey text hard to read.
- On mobile, tapping on a wayspot to open its popup also moves the location pin, and the location pin displays over the popup. This doesn’t happen on desktop, and I’m using Firefox for both mobile and desktop.

And its funny to see so many import
the range is tiny. i can only see five wayspots from my house. i can see 40+ in game on the nearby.
That’s noticable. I don’t see any imports on my map, despite them being there.
I guess something that could be improved
i like that the imported power spots that won’t be considered duplicates in voting are not on this map. or are you talking about another kind of import?

It is very curious as to why @TjoeMi does see imports on his map? And we do not.

those could be different imports for pokestops and gyms. so confusing.
I was just assuming because I saw the placeholder photo’s in the image of @TjoeMi .

- Maybe put a symbol around the spot to indicate what it exactly is like the in-game process, like the pokestop icon around the photo’s we see for pokestops in-game
- Hmmm this will be visible in the Wayfarer Map… let me check if it’ll be added into the Duplicates Check map. If not, will suggest.
- Maybe spots can be set on the map which are currently in-voting…
- Hmmm this conversation is currently taking place too with us split 50/50. Curious what the rest of the community thinks.
I’ve tried two more submissions, one via Firefox and one via Chrome, both with all extensions disabled. With Firefox it continues to not show the confetti, while Chrome did show it once the submission went through. Might be a Firefox issue?
I see…. unfortunately in-game changes, even to the Wayfarer experience, are quite challenging as it requires more than the Wayfarer Team to make those changes and additional approval.
Maybe start a separate topic for this question so it doesn’t get buried. At first glance, I would want to see if it has already been submitted so I don’t waste my time and nomination on a duplicate. But I don’t always see all the ramifications to something like this.
Hmmm that’s odd. Can you confirm the browser you’re using? Also, did the retry button not prompt the location permission pop up?

Just to make myself more clearer, let me add this example to point 2:

What Im suggesting is these pokestop logo’s and other logo’s for not used wayspots in Pogo around the photo we see in the web submission map.
I am using the Samsung Browser. After uploading an image and bashing the refresh button a few times, it worked.
I will try Chrome tomorrow, if I remember.
Which brings onto another question…. Will the sub appear in the comtributions Section?

Yup, that’s intended for now. We’ll be working on making it load dupes around the pin placement.
