What could be the reason this contribution is not accepted?

Can anybody shime in and tell me why this pokestop isn’t accepted? I would like to appeal it if I have a good reason.

Hello and Welcome,

Can you show the complete nomination and the GPS Co-Ords.

Do you have the Long / Lat Co-ords. This will be on the email received when you nominated it.

What is the area where the “tree” is located?

Just confirming whether it could be the location that is the problem.

The other option is the eMiLy (automated process) is seeing it just as a Tree. If this is the case then you can Appeal it and a human will look in to it.

Two possibilities jump out.

  1. It looks to the ML (automated) system like a tree stump. Focussing on the sculpture at the top might help with that.

  2. It might be on private property. If this is the case, move on to something else.

It is on private property. It’s in the front yard of the house but no fence or something to shield it from public. Thanks for stepping in with your advice. I shall move on and be more carefull in contributing in the future. Don’t wanna get a ban for a bad contribution.

I’ve made poor submissions and had rejections because it was something that just wasn’t good enough. That doesn’t get a warning, strike or ban. Misrepresenting something, putting it in the wrong place - those are the sorts of things that can get acted on by Niantic.

For example, if you had claimed the sculpture was on public property and you could walk up to it, that could have been a problem.

Regarding private property, please note that in some places the boundary of the private property extends beyond any physical boundary such as a fence or wall. Also, it is only single-family private residential property that is off-bounds (as well as schools and farms). Anything on the external boundary is also off-bounds.

Apartments, businesses etc are fine.

Also - good luck, enjoy wayfaring (it can get addictive) and come to the forum anytime you have an issue or a question, including things like ‘would this be eligible?’. This forums is generally polite and informative
