Like… what do I click in the review page? It seems like all of the options there are valid…
under the first section “appropriate” you will see “private property”
It is definitely a learning process to know where all the check boxes are. Also be sure to read all those tool tips linked with the circled i’s.
Not very well organized either. :.
Someone needs a lesson in principle of least surprise.
Sure would be nice if the person receiving this rejection could be directed to the criterion clarification that was used for the rejection. I have this image of someone receiving it and being frustrated while exclaiming, “It’s a little library!”
I believe they will see “private property” as a rejection, rather than “appropriate” but some of the others like “no consesus” or “various rejection reasons” are not helpful, I agree.
And… “bad title” is under “accuracy” rather than being under the title. Same for photo, description, etc. I could go on but it seems random and haphazard rather than planned or reviewed.
And why are “permanent” and “distinct” lumped together? “distinct” should be under “appropriate”. We already have three different places to state that a location isn’t pedestrian appropriate.
Anyway, mostly just grumbling. They need a professional developer for this.
The Accuracy section used to be called “Accurate and High Quality” so they did change that since the release of the new review flow.
I am not a fan of this “new review flow” either. I stopped reviewing completely for a long time when they introduced it.
Appropriate is for judging if where the nomination is is eligible or ineligible (i.e. private property or schools are inappropriate locations).
Safe is whether there is safe pedestrian access or not to interact at the nomination.
Accuracy is whether the title/description/photo/location are accurate and not of a low quality (i.e. a blurry photo, an inaccurate title, or the nomination being located too far away for the pin to be accurately moved). It’s not “bad title” for the rejection reason; rather it’s “low quality or inaccurate title,” which is the same wording for photos and description for the exact rejection reason. If another rejection reason was chosen, such as face or body part for photos, face or body part is the rejection reason.
Permanent and Distinct is to judge whether a nomination is permanent or not and/or distinct/indistinct (i.e. a bus stop sign may be permanent, but it most likely is indistinct, or a corn maze possibly being distinct but not permanent).
Yep. One of my earliest nominations.
I was confused, but I came here to the forums, searched for LFLs, and found my answer.
appreciate you sharing that, and love you are helping others now!
