Hi guys,

Where do I find out why a nomination was rejected? I cannot see what reason it has been rejected for?

“Wayfarer criteria” what does that mean?:sweat_smile:

Usually that means your nomination has been rejected by Machine Learning because it didn’t detect anything it recognised as meeting the criteria. What did you submit? You can share screenshots if you wish.

I do think @hankwolfman is correct that the ML algorithm didn’t recognize what was represented in the picture based on the Wayfarer Criteria feedback.

That said there has been recent clarification on the eligibility of cemeteries. The link below can give you more background on what and when to nominate in and around a cemetery.

Unsure of how to get this accepted then if it already falls into the guidelines for a cemetery :man_shrugging:t2: back in from we had a cemetery as a pokestop no problems. They are both just smalls ones for their small area

You may not be able to get anything accepted if it doesn’t have any of the features listed in the clarification.

I wanted to include the information though so you could have enough background to update your nomination and not just the photo if it made sense to do so.

Keep in mind that criteria does change over time, and so what you see with a Wayspot now may no longer meet criteria. It’s best not to base your nominations off of what you see in-game, but off of current criteria.

Les cimetieres sont interdit , et comme ta croix est a l’interieur , elle n’est pas élegible .

Meme si tu change le titre , ca ne changera rien , ca reste un cimetiere , pour moi , ca sera refuser , juste les tombes de figures historiques ou de gens connus peut etre eligible .

If the cemetery is still a place where burials take place it will be regarded as a sensitive location.
It is not appropriate to have a place in a game where people are grieving.
Alternatively if it is no longer actively used and the place is of historic value then it could be worthy of a wayspot. In some places graveyards are open park spaces and are good spaces.

I can confirm no active burials and haven’t been for a while. I checked with the Mairie of the area, you can walk through freely.

The next problem to solve is how to convey verifiable proof about this within the bounds of submitting. You can confirm but how will reviewers do that?

When the existing notion that cemeteries are sensitive locations is the benchmark, you may need more context to rise above that. Necro-tourism is a thing but it isn’t exactly what we think of at every cemetery site (not to mention sometimes not permitted in some).

Are there any articles citing activities to prove this cemetery meets an eligibility criterion and your claims?
