When will a google or apple app be made for wayfarer specifically without going through pogo or through online search engines

As for making nominations/edits outside of PoGo, we donāt know yet if this will be happening, but from the Roadmap post, it sounds like it may be something that could be coming. More info on the Roadmap and future of Wayfarer can be found here:

Thatās a bit misleading - essentially it functions no more than a shortcut to a website within a wrapper (think bookmark in your browser). Note even the announcement was clear - for once - when it says āapp-likeā.
I think the OP was referring to something more like the old sunsetted beta app. But as you say we are finally getting Way(site) Wayspot Submissions & Edits - be interesting to see how much of that will work as PWA especially the limited features in offline mode.

I took the info from what staff has posted as to the app we currently have available. The OP is not asking for any specific type of app, just an app, so itās not misleading.
The OP is welcome to explain further what they are referring to, but until then, the info I provided is not misleading.

The Wayfarer website is not an app in the traditional sense - thatās all Iām referring to. You could argue it is app-like which is exactly what the announcement states at least twice.
Not being antagonistic just providing clarity to what they (Niantic) stated. Web app - sure, mobile app - nope.
Although I prefer to Wayfare on Desktop a proper App would be useful for checking on the goā¦
A full on App where you could nominate from with itās own built in camera would be great (my poor phone often throws a wobbler when it switched from PoGo to either Camera or Gallery closing down PoGo in the background 
)

Yes, but again, thatās the only app we currently have. We do not know if there will be any other type of app released in the future, but if there will be one, staff will let us know. So, as I mentioned, the OP is welcome to further clarify their question in regards to an app, and what they would like to see in said app.
Ingress and Recon can be mentioned.

The OP did not ask if we currently have a āpseudoā app, he asked whether there is an App coming.
Is message is clear that he is hoping for something more than the website link, I can not give him the answer he wants but I can join in with the wish of a dedicated app and we can take this thread to discuss what people would like to see in such an appā¦
They asked if an app would be coming where they didnāt have to use PoGo or a web search engine, and they may not know about the current app. Itās still helpful to provide that info.
This really isnāt something to argue about. I gave the info that is available currently, and there really isnāt anything else that can be added at this time.
