Is there a reason for 16hrs notice? Most folks won’t see this until it’s too late.

Welp, good thing all my pending stuff already got through before this. Guess now we’ll have to wayfarer blind until we hopefully get a replacement map :crossed_fingers:

Hoping we eventually come out ahead from all this, but for now there’s certainly going to be more than a few drawbacks.

I agree with you, @smantz0rZ, and it’s unfortunate this announcement doesn’t seem to be getting pushed much outside of here. But guessing that means things are truly speeding ahead on the full split of companies.

The alternative was probably severing the map when Ingress nominations were shut off. I guess we should be happy for the last few weeks we got.

The quickest possible review time is ~22 hours after submission. 16 hours’ notice means that it’s already too late to make any new nominations for Ingress

A quick note for everyone: please try to keep the discussion constructive and respectful. It’s understandable that changes like this bring strong opinions, but taking shots at other games or communities isn’t helpful. We all contribute to Wayfarer in different ways, and maintaining a respectful tone benefits everyone involved. Thanks!

Thanks again to all the great Ingress Agents that built and maintained the map well before PoGO was even conceived. It made an enormous difference for millions of people.

Although it was no longer possible for ingress to submit new Wayspots, edit the title, description, or location of existing Wayspots, or suggest images, we were able to report the removal of Wayspots. However, I have not yet received a response to the removal report I submitted at this time. Is this handled by Wayfarer, Ingress, or both?

Please, in this latest map update it would be great if all possible POIs were added, even those that are less than 20 meters from existing ones. Make it possible please, that it will now be more difficult for portals to be approved in a short time.

What do we do if we have nominations that are stuck in queue despite being upgraded? Is it possible to get a push on these so that they have a chance of resolving before the sync deadline? It’s frustrating if I can’t even force it into voting with an upgrade.

Well poop, i had a list of dtuff i was gonna submit this weekend and next for both games, ill still submit them for pogo, but just neans ill need to redo them whenever ingress lets me
