Ambassador’s are players of the games of their choice and who are willing to give up their time to support the Wayfarer Community. They are not paid or employed by Niantic. To prevent them from expressing an opinion is to say that they are not players of the game.

That eveyone should be more yes and open for great wayspot locations.

The same goes for other users. They also rate nominations, create new ones and also do it absolutely free of charge. Why then do ambassadors need special badges? What makes them special?

They are advocates for the community. Whilst they are under an NDA, their time to the Ambassador programme is voluntary. They are not employed and their Ambassador privelliges can be removed at any time, without warning or compensation.

Why apply when you can just do it? Or is it impossible to help the community without the inscription “ambassador”?

Because they can act as a voice for the community when it comes to raising issues by the community that wouldn’t be normally be available to us. We are lucky that some staff do post on here, and I think we should be grateful for that as well. But they can monitor and gather information from the foru…
