A week ago my account got a 30 day suspension, I think this is a mistake. I’ve tried to appeal this suspension but all I get is some sort of weird, most likely robot message.
This suspension is based on a location change I recently sent. My intention with this change was to move the Wayspot to the beginning instead of the middle of a playground. I thought it was a valid change, and to let the reviewers decide if this is better than the original location. Then all of a sudden it gets declined and I receive an email about a 30-day suspension.
I later noticed that I accidentally placed the suggested location a bit too far south. This was completely unintentional, and I only realized it after I had already submitted the edit.
I am an experienced reviewer and even received the highest review/contribution rank on Wayfarer. I’m also a very active Pokémon GO player, where I almost have the platinum medal that is about reviewing on Wayfarer. I understand what meets the criteria from Niantic and what does not meet it.
Given my long term activity on Wayfarer, including many reviews and edits and a strong reviewer status, I would want to ask for this situation to be reviewed with some benefit of the doubt, as there was no intention to mislead or manipulate the location.

It does look like your suggested move (represented by the pin in the screenshot) would move the pin further away from the equipment in the wayspot photo to put it in an empty L17 S2 cell, which would make the remaining swingset Wayspot eligible to become a Pokestop. Although staff does not acknowledge S2 cell algorithms, they do consider game manipulation to be abuse.
The current position of the Wayspot actually appears to be a bit too far west already in this street view, and the swingset seems to be part of the larger play area. If you have evidence of where you were trying to move the pin that you think would better represent the playground, you should provide it. I am not sure what you meant when you said you placed it a bit too far south.

I recognize the mistake I made, but it was accidental, likely due to nominating multiple wayspots in a short period. Given my high reviewer rank, is it possible to get a second chance or a warning?
That looks unlikely given the response from @NianticAaron
Saying this location edit was accidental because you were nominating lots of wayspots doesn’t ring true. Location edits are a very different process to wayspot submissions. Since you are explicitly editing the location, you necessarily pay close attention to the location, unlike submitting when some people forget to look at the map and end up submitting at the wrong place.
The ranking is not relevant to misplacing a submission.
I think it best that you learn from this and ensure in future that you don’t repeat what was happened.
Unnecessary moves like this are best not considered.
