A map of all Wayspots?

Hi everyone, been a while since I posted.

Now that Ingress and PoGo have split, I’ve noticed that there is no way to view and edit existing Wayspots that are not visible in PoGo. I used to love using the Wayfarer app as I could scope somewhere out before going to see what Wayspots were already there and whether I should look on street view/satellite view and plan to submit new ones nearby.

Is there any plan to bring back something like the old Wayfarer app to allow editing of Wayspots outside of Pokémon Go? I used to love being able to edit things from a long distance (I would look at areas I know well and improve the spelling and grammar of titles and descriptions for many Wayspots). It also means if someone now puts a Wayspot at an incorrect location and it doesn’t port through to PoGo because of that, there’s no way to amend it and therefore it’s blocked forever (if you were to resubmit in the correct location, it would get rejected as duplicate). Is there another way to fix these problems?

It might just be me but I’m having a hard time with having to be immediately next to a POI to make improvement edits to the title/description etc. and also not being able to see all the locations somehow.

I’ve used the Scaniverse app to try and look at existing Wayspots, which can be helpful, but again allows for no editing and doesn’t always seem to show all locations (is it tied to the non-Scopely side and so will no longer be updated from PoGo submissions?).

Thanks everyone, have a great day!

Hi @GuitarMan147

You may be excited to review the roadmap of upcoming items here:

You are correct, Scaniverse belongs to Niantic Spatial, therefore this doesn’t get the Scopely database updates either.

For incorrectly located Wayspots that can not be edited from within Pokémon GO, you can always use Help Chat within the help tab of the Wayfarer Website

Unfortunately I was told on that chat that it has to be in-game for more minor location edits. The one on the help chat is, I believe, for edits >10m? Been a while though so I could be wrong.

I would ask again and insist because it can not be sent from the game

I would also use help chat. But if you really don’t want to, you can use the form linked at the top under “Wayspot Removals” for modifications, too. That shows when you follow the link:

If you use that form, the questions you can select from may have nothing to do with what you are trying to do. Just pick one, then explain the issue in the text box. Do not reply to the acknowledgement email, even if it asks for your credentials to make the request. Only reply if a person’s name begins the message.

Amazing, thanks for that, I hadn’t seen it! I’ve now added a question to the AMA category:

Thanks again!
