Yikes that’s sounds Rough.
I feel bad for the rural players of Pokemon Go.
Get creative, explore the area. If you live in an area open to installing artwork or information plaques or if any of those wooded areas are publicly accessible and could benefit from a cleanup effort to make them more accessible or anything else you can think of, see what you can do to help your local community.
Personally in my local area I like it as it is.
You will see other posts from me that I do not wish to have everywhere flooded.
I can do short walks around the village where I live and pass 1 or 2 Gyms.
If I want to partake in Raid Days etc there is a park a couple of miles away. Due to mobility issues I drive there, walk down to the bench where I can reach 3 Gyms. Wait for the local “Community” to arrive and do those 3 then wait for them to return. 6 Raids in an hour is good enough for me.
Rural players do get it bad in some instances but others have built their area up with Trail Markers etc. They also get more chance to last 8 + hours in a Gym (as long as they don’t get stuck there for a year + ) and have a good chance with winning Showcases. So it’s not all bad.
A lot of the time Residential areas can find it tougher than Rural.
Great idea Spinda!
Thank you ![]()
Im sorry to hear that man I hope it goes well for you.
Regarding your mobility issues.
There are people much worse off than me, most days I could get out and walk a mile (it’s the weather that’s the problem at the moment
). I do have the option to drive.
On bad days I can still do some things from home, the daily spin is the only 1 that I struggle with.
I do try and be “Free to Play” as much as possible, bought 5000 coins at the beginning of the year and still have half of them left. This plus the Gym coins allows me some Remotes when needed to fill the Dex.
Only started playing April 2023 to convince to get out and exercise and just reached L66 today. When game released in 2016 I was the sort thinking anyone playing over the age of 14 was sad…
This is a great suggestion, but do be careful if you place anything there. Staff have said that home-made objects do not meet Wayfarer guidelines.
When you say home made are you referring to plaques and bird houses?
Also CyndiePooh I’ll look around the area if there’s something more to nominate but if there isn’t im a be fine with these 2 Gyms.
Since it’s better than nothing.
And like slimboy said most can’t even get one.
Anyway to finish this off I wish you both a awesome week and for y’all to be safe!
I definitely didn’t mean homemade ![]()
Some cities commission artwork or have local history where an interesting thing happened or how the city was founded that they want to share.
Get some civic engagement going ![]()
