If I share a power point that has not appeared for more than 2 months but the marker is still on the map, could an ambassador help me see what happened and if there is a way to force it to appear again or why they have stopped appearing? Since the Max Finale event, many powerspots stopped appearing.
Unfortunately that would be a question for the Pokémon GO team, Power Spots are not Wayfarer related but are just one of the ways that Pokémon GO uses the Wayspots that we create.
The limit for Power Spots is 2 per level 14 S2 cell. During the Max Finale, Niantic temporarily raised this limit, which is why more Power Spots showed up. After the event ended, it went back to the normal 2 per cell, so the extras disappeared even though the markers are still visible on the map.
Check your nomination’s cell placement, if it’s in a level 14 S2 cell that already has 2 active Power Spots, it won’t appear right now. But it could still show up in the future if rotations happen or during such event bonuses, so it’s worth keeping an eye on it.
That said, just a friendly reminder, this isn’t really something connected to Wayfarer directly, since Power Spots are controlled on the Pokémon GO Team. So, this isn’t the official place for these kinds of questions.
the nodes that were there before, were there before the max finale event, and there was only 1 powerspot per cell, there was never more, so that there may be 2 nodes per cell, I don’t know if it’s real because I’ve never seen that or not where I live, so the nodes that stopped appearing were there before that event, that’s why the question is, also every time they tell me that the forum is not for what it is for POKEMON GO, there is no forum dedicated to POKEMON GO and if they tell me that it is directly with the game there is no way to talk or report something because no one real ever answers, it is always the BOT. also if it weren’t the topic, then I wouldn’t see official announcements here of what the game implements and let’s be honest, a lot of here is because of pokemon go, because I check the forum all the time and I don’t see anything related to ingrees or other niantic / scopely games. thanks for your answer I see that here it is always the same.
Greeting.
I understand your frustration, but I want to correct something.
Because this is not the forum for Pokemon Go, this is the forum for Wayfarer, which is a platform to map Wayspot around the world. Sure, Pokemon GO does involved and worked around the platform, but it is solely based on how Pokestop and Powerspot would spawn.
I don’t think you will get an official answer on how Powerspot work even with Niantic Wayfarer staff here, because it is out of scope for those people to answer.
Very unfortune, but this is Pokemon Go issue, not Wayfarer issue. I understand but the staff here are unable to do anything related to GO other than the map in here.
I am a newbie here, so I don’t understand how Ingress work, but I can ensure Pokemon Go on release, used already established map made by Ingress player. They are partly why Pokemon Go is popular because otherwise, you would have to build everything from the ground.
PLUS, a lot of people treat Wayfarer here as a game. Building Pokestop is fun, and exciting for the local, but going out to explore, finding new place, discover thing that fit criteria is why a lot of people, including me, treat this platform as a game itself.
Ingress got splited due to the Scopely buy out, so you don’t see much of Ingress discussion anymore, however I have still seen some person talking about Pikmin Bloom in here, how would it sync, … Like this wonderful person like here.
I don’t know what to tell you… these issues simply aren’t handled here as there is no PokemonGo team members here… just because you dont have anywhere else to go doesnt make this the default place to go.
PoGo does have social media accounts that one can use to reach out to them, or the help chat in-game and in the help center. More info on how to contact the PoGo team can be found here:
Otherwise, when and where Power Spots show up is determined by the PoGo team, not Wayfarer. Wayfarer simply provides the database map, and it’s up to each game to determine how to use the map.
