If wayspot exist, it will be duplicate even though you cant see it. I have case where i cant see wayspot in both pogo and ingress. When i submit nomination, it returned as duplicate. Only after i check GSB, then i realize it ald have wayspot.
Yeah i didn’t realise until after i submitted it i could see orange wayspots from other games on the upload map. I have only been playing for 3 months.
Thats disappointing that my submission won’t appear. But understandable.
However from googling i am under the assumption the existing way spot should appear in Go since there is no spot nearby?
Why hasn’t it appeared already? Did someone do something wrong when they submitted it in another game? Is there any way i can make it appear in go?
So ut appears as this orange marker on the map. When i click on it it lists the spots name and says “Wayspot used in other Niantic Games”. There is a pokeball endless swirling in the middle but no image loads.
My understanding is one spot per cell. This cell is empty apart from the orange marker. Thats why i was wondering if it would stop my nomination, and if so why it wasn’t already in game. So you think it should be ok?
I need to know the location before i can check for sure. But that orange marker without picture is import so it wont affect your nomination. How long ago your nomination approved?
This example of unused wayspot in pogo that appear in ingress (its not import for power spot)
This may be a imported location used as a Power Spot for D and G Max battles. If there’s no stop/gym there currently, and the L17 S2 cell is empty, then your nomination shouldn’t be marked as a duplicate and should go into queue. We do not see Power Spot imports on the database map, as they currently are not on the it.
The orange ! can either be unused Wayspots or imports. Imports will usually not have an image, and some may not be in the database map, as they are not used by all games. Imports used as Power Spots still will have this listing, no image and existing Wayspot, but they technically aren’t Wayspots as they are just used for Power Spots in PoGo.
We have had others here submit POIs that were imported as Power Spots into PoGo and meet Wayspot criteria, and most don’t have much of an issue getting them into queue. There have been some that get rejected as a duplicate, but it’s rare and tends to happen on appeal.
