Accepted But Nothing on Map for weeks?

Hey all,

I’m not super familar with the ins and outs of wayfarer, but Ive been trying to learn.

I recently submitted my first Pokestop after reviewing for quite a while. It was accepted and I was delighted, but weeks have past and nothing has appeared in game and I’m trying to understand why.

Ive googled reasons and was lead to links to download items or scour maps and look at cells and from what I can tell, there isn’t another stop in the cell?

Could one of you guys far more versed in this give me some insight into what I might have done wrong?

Hey, if you click on the red exclamation mark and it’s your pokéstop, then I have bad news for you :frowning: So you basically don’t upload pokéstops but rather wayspots that Niantic uses for all there games(Like ingress). Sometimes it happens that your Wayspot gets accepted and its not for Pogo. This happened to me too :frowning: but usually it don’t takes 1+ weeks so, how I said, its probably just in a other game. Sorry

I know the prompt tells you that you are submitting a “Pokestop” but you are actually submitting a Wayspot to Niantic’s Lightship database. The Wayspot can only become a Pokestop or gym if it is alone in a level 17 S2 cell. This is a good article about S2 cells and PoGo: https://pokemongohub.net/post/article/comprehensive-guide-s2-cells-pokemon-go/
(Copy pasted Cyndies prompt )
Your accepted nomination shares a cell with the Gazebo pokestop or gym, thus its not eligible to appear in PoGo, but might appear as a PowerSpot one day.

Ah. Thank you! I wish I knew how to access this map! Would’ve made it much easier! lol Appreciate it!
If I submitted a stop for the tennis court right next to the spot that was just submitted, is there a chance it may appear if its accepted because it is in a different S2 cell? If I’m understanding you correctly?

Or can I not submit something so close to another powerspot?

Yes, I was coming back to let you know that you should submit that tennis court if you hadnt already.

Whats on the south of the basketball court? Looks like foursquare and other type of courts?

Any suggestions you have to put in the submission for the Tennis court? Any key words or details?

Here is what I wrote for basketball

I like to keep it short and to the point for the supporting information. “A public tennis court for the community to exercise and socialize”

Hello and welcome,

I think with sports facilities there is no need to say too much.
These look good and well maintained places with sunny weather, so will photograph well. And a nice photograph that showcases the facility is going to “sell” the submission from the start.
The description just needs to be factual what and where. So actually each then is very individual.
Make sure supplementary photo gives enough context in case it’s not easy to confirm.
Make it easy for the reviewer.
These are easy subs to start your wayfarer journey, but get into good habits.

Thanks all for the help and suggestions. I went ahead and submitted the tennis court today using yalls suggestions. Lets hope its accepted!! Thanks again!!

Anyway. Unused wayspot might become powerspot. So your submission is not wasted. I have seen some of my submisson become powerspot
