It doesn’t matter if you nominate through Pokemon Go or Ingress. In either case an accepted Wayspot goes into the Lightship database. This database is the map of all accepted wayspots. They can be extremely close and it doesn’t matter since they were accepted.
At this point each of Niatics games (currently Ingres, Pokemon Go, Pikmin Bloom, Peridot, and Monster Hunter Now), have the opportunity to apply their own unique inclusion rules to the Lightship map to select items for each game board. These choices are unique, but don’t impact other game boards. So an accepted wayspot to Lightship, could show up in one, many, or none of the Niantic games.

i asked throught the wayfayer bot to move it a little so it could appear in the game cause i thought as it was renovated it could be visible so if somone would check the pokestop from the distance he might to come at the spot to check it out, it got accepted but it still sits in the location which is the one i just showed. If i remember correctly, sorry its around 2 months or more and my chat with the bot is lost i asked to move it around here 50.4351613006705, 16.66184621657255 to the free cell, since its the same building and it would be still pretty much valid poi
Just to make sure you are aware, you should only edit the location of a Wayspot to make it more accurately reflect it’s real-world location. Moving something just so it will appear in a specific game is considered abuse by Niantic.
who am i to judge things done by niantic, even if they are not lookin very smart.
either way… its seems its problematic to nominate something… cause now i dont know from which game to nominate wayspots so i can get them how i wanted. I feel helpless. i think it may started to kill my joy of nominating things, especially in rural areas…

and i hate lightship. its not working on my phone, it never did cause ive downloaded it after they turned down AR+ on loads of devices… i wont be changing my phone only for that… its enough im spending money on ingame items.
It doesn’t matter which game you nominate them from, it is all about the inclusion rules.
I could nominate from Ingress and if the Wayspot is 15m away from the nearest Portal, it won’t become a Portal but could still be a PokéStop if it’s in a different empty cell.
Just make sure you’re nominating things where they actually are and they will be fine.
Completely sympathize with the frustration, but as said above these are rules Wayfarer can’t change as it already treats all wayspots the same.
Whatever didn’t make the Pokémon GO inclusion rules to become a Pokéstop or a gym could very well turn out to be eligible to become a Power Spot though, so I’m not sure why you are certain they won’t.
i think its the issue… the would turn into power spots if they would be in intel map, but they are not. i have 2 power spots near one of gym, one of them is visible only in ingress as portal. since the new ones are only shown as accepted in wayfayer… i wont download every niantic games to see if theyre there. i think thats my problem i nominated throught the wrong game and if ill try it one more time i could get warnigs/timer bans cause thats what niantic does. People have observed that wayspots which do not appear in Ingress, but do appear in Lightship, have become power spots.
The only way to nominate wrong is through the wayfarer app. If you’re nominating through the games, you’re just getting swept up in the immersive experience that blatantly lies to you about what you’re nominating, but changing which immersive experience you participate in doesn’t change the results when inclusion criteria are applied for each game.
As @NvlblNm said above, I have also seen multiple Lightship only wayspots become Power Spots locally.
No one is asking you to download any other game, and there is absolutely no correlation between what game wayspots have been submitted with and where they appear, if indeed they were submitted through games. Good luck!
How do I submit my own Waypoint/Pokestop in my small town. The Town has finally got our Veterans Memorial up Honoring all Veterans, like my Grandfather, Uncle and Myself, and feel it deserves to be a pokestop. I want ppl to visit this Memorial that the whole town has donated Money and their time to have it put up. So can anyone help me or send a link on how to submit it for a Wayfare spot/PokeStop. It needs to be a appreciate, and it’s a small town in the middle of nowhere in Wisconsin. Thanks, everyone anything is appreciated.
If you’re level 37 in Pokémon Go or level 10 in Ingress, you can submit wayspots through your respective game. If you haven’t done the wayfarer onboarding yet, you’ll need to look through that when you first visit the wayfarer website, then you’ll need to reload your game. Once you do that, you’ll have the ability to submit nominations.
