Adding photo/details to imported Lightship Wayspot (Nhà Sách FAHASA)

Hi community! I found a third-party/bot-imported Wayspot on Niantic Wayfarer Map(Nhà Sách Fahasa Bình Định, GPS: 13.754461, 109.207733) that currently lacks photos and descriptions.

What is the best current workflow to submit a photo and description edit for an imported/third-party Wayspot that isn’t currently active in Pokémon GO/Ingress, so it can be evaluated and synced into the games?
Thanks!

Ingress is no longer part of Wayfarer, so anything for that game will have to be done through that game.

Datapoints were added to the Wayfarer map that were only eligible to be used as Power Spots. This looks like one of those that can’t be promoted. See this announcement: Clarifications on Pokémon Go Power Spots

And this location would not be eligible to become a Pokestop anyway, since there should already be a Pokestop in this L17 S2 cell after sync today if it hasn’t already become one.

Staff do not acknowledge the use of S2 cells, but you can read more about what the community has observed here: A Comprehensive Guide to S2 Cells and Pokémon GO | Pokémon GO Hub

Can it still be a Power Spot? How did you do to achieve this interface?

No, the circle around the pin shows the minimum distance the community has found to be necessary from any pokestop or gym in order to potentially be added to the power spot pool.

This is a third party tool that works with the Mapview Map on the Wayfarer site. Staff won’t allow us to directly link to this tool or to the discord server where you can ask for help if you need it to install it, but you could do a search for wayfarer tools.

Oh, and I always try to add a note that the knowledge about S2 cells should NEVER be used to misplace a pin into an empty cell. That gets people banned. Just use it to understand where it is possible to find Pokestop eligible points of interest.

inside the GO! store in the picture of yours above, there are a lot of stores/playgrounds/arcades that is eligible for nominating, and well over 4 or 5, but the building is only divided into 3 cells, so can I still cram in 1 or 2 pokestops? in the future, can I appeal for the GO! pokestop to become a Gym if possible?

The GO! pokestop would be sponsored, so I don’t think you can promote that to a gym but am not sure. The map at pokemongo.com did not show me any pokestops in this area, and sponsored stops do not show on the wayfarer map, so that other wayspot I expected to be included as a pokestop at sync time may not. If you can get me the coordinates for that GO! stop, i can see where the pin hits for that.

I wonder if there are geoblocks on Map - Pokémon GO since it just doesn’t show me anything here. It automatically adds in the /en/ when i try to use it now.

there are none there! that is why im planning to nominate for those! inside they have a kids playground, an arcade store, and a cinema, (and other generic stores). that’s way over the 3 cells, so I was wondering how do I cram in all the places I planned to nominate, I was the one nominate the GO! stop. They didnt’t sponsor or anything

Here is how the cells hit this biggest building.

I have this set to shade in the cells that are already occupied with a pokestop or gym. Sync time to add in that newest one should happen in about 4 hours, so that one should be occupied as well.

Gyms are promoted at 2, 6, and 20 total pokestops and gyms in this larger L14 S2 cell. The number in the middle indicates that this cell would need 11 more to get another gym.

The smaller wayspots without photos are the imports added for use as power spots only. Wayfinders cannot make these become Pokestops.

Thanks for clearing this to me!

You cannot “appeal” or ask for a particular stop to become a gym. One stop somewhere in the grid area will be chosen for upgrade, when the population of the grid reaches a certain value.
