Located on key pedestrian gateway to the city centre, cathedral quarter and Nottingham Playhouse is maid Marian way in Nottingham.
To be fair I think the pictures could be better, but I feel it’s a very unique planter in a new city delevopment that has lots of space for people. Any advice would be welcome!
I really like this and I would have voted for it. Reviewers might prefer it once the plants grow up and flower, but they shouldn’t reject for a winter picture.
You could add more detail about how and when it was built to your description, as it sounds like that information would be interesting.
I have submitted planter benches before, and I had to appeal, so maybe an appeal would work for you as well?
The first picture you posted just now, from slightly above the planter, would make a very good supporting photo, especially if one of the extra ones from the web submission route
(It would also be a good wayspot photo, but reviewers might dislike the angle.)
I think this is something that you are going to have to try and improve on if it is to become acceptable.
Out of the core criteria it doesn’t meet exercise or socialise. So you are looking at it under a great place to explore.
This means a key point of interest that you would take someone to show. In this case the metal work is key. You need to demonstrate its unique nature. It is not very artistic but I could see a case for it. The motive is clearly one associated with Nottingham and is reflected in some nearby windows.
It looks like it’s linked to Nottingham castle. Provide a narrative about this.
You mention the people who made this planter. Is there a weblink to information about this.
I don’t see the need to mention the Battersea project. It takes away the focus from this project and raises doubts about why they would be special.
The lack of foliage doesn’t help make it stand out as a focal point. Spring is in the air so maybe soon it may look more appealing and notable.
That sounds like a good plan and you can work on the description and supplementary more too…
I know what you mean about itchy feet sometimes I cant wait for the paint to dry on murals
