I have been waiting on reviews of over a dozen pokestops in Albania. Since there are very few once you leave the capital or cities they are near nonexistent. However, there seem to be very few wayfarer reviewers in this area, or ones that aren’t interested in reviewing stops for Albania…are there anyways to get additional help from wayfarer to get these approved or will they just be sitting on the backburner?

It is frustrating when you have to wait for your submission to resolve.
First can I ask how long roughly are you talking about?
Not for very long yet, only over week for most of them. However, I’ve seen some older complaints on the wayfarer subreddit that this region has had issues with both the slow response times for reviews and with neglect due to Balkan politics negatively affecting how people here review these applications. Could just be a hitch of mine that I want to make sure I understand before I decide if it’s worth trying to add more stops in this region. Edit - These also are the first stops I’ve tried to make as I just learned about wayfarer not long ago so I apologize about my limited knowledge.
Ok so its only when you get beyond 2-3 months that something needs looking at many resolve before that.
It is likely that yours might be reviewed by anyone in Albania that is reviewing.

It helps yours if the whole queue of nominations in Albania is flowing well.
In the UK, I find submissions take a few weeks after I release them for reviewing. Only one week isn’t sufficient in itself to be concerned, but if you have additional information regarding that region having issues, I can understand your concern.
It isn’t easy to refuse to review wayspots in a local area, because you’d have identify the location where a wayspot submission is then skip (or reject) simply because it’s in the wrong country. Although you can do this form the google maps view (keep zooming out), it’s probably more effort than simply reviewing it.
What you definitely can’t do is choose where your reviews come from, beyond setting your home location and bonus location, both of which are fairly broad (I think half the UK is picked up from my home location).
I was thinking of three months as being the point at which it’s worth flagging the issue, so snap.
