My appeal was accepted to add my waystop, but its been 6 or 7 days and it is still not showing up on the map?

It is in the backing database, Lightship.

It has also shown up in Ingress.

In your acceptance message, there should have been wording like “Remember that not all accepted nominations will appear in all Niantic games.”

It’s in the same Level 17 S2 Cell as Wily Wild Deadwood. A level 17 S2 Cell can only contain one Pokéstop or one Gym. It may show up as a Power Spot occasionally though.

This is the email. I guess I don’t know what the backing database is? I interpreted the last line of the email as it might not appear on other forms besides pokemon go. Thank you

When the POI is accepted as a way spot, it is entered into Niantic’s lightship database from which all the Niantic games pull, based on each game’s specific inclusion criteria. Unfortunately, although your nomination was accepted, it does not meet the inclusion criteria for Pokemon Go. @hankwolfman provided a link with more detailed information as to why it can’t appear in the game.
