I am writing to appeal the recent removal of a valid locations in Pokémon GO and request information regarding why it was taken down. This location was a highly active part of our local player community.
Here are the details for the locations:
Gym Title: [first colony community center pavilion]
Location Coordinates: [29.57397° N, 95.58278° W]
City & Country: [Missouri city, Texas, fort bend]
GYM&Pokestops: First Colony Frissbee Golf(several down this street specifically).
L C: [29.57343° N, 95.58194° W]
City & Country: [Missouri city, Texas, fort bend]
These real-world objects/landmarks are is still permanently physically present, entirely safe for pedestrian access Sidewalks throughout all pokestops, and does not interfere with private residential property or emergency services. Matter fact open to the public for recreational use for walks, sports, and activities.
Could you please clarify the justification for its removal? If it was removed due to an incorrect user report, I kindly request that the location be re-evaluated and restored to the game map. I am happy to provide up-to-date, geotagged photos of the location to prove it still exists safely.

Were these multiple wayspots for a single frisbee golf course? If so, they were removed for being duplicates as a golf course is represented by a single wayspot:
Your coordinates for “First Colony Community Center Pavilion” seem to be significantly far away from where the wayspot is currently located according to the wayfarer map, which is at 29.574143, -95.584782 (and it’s still showing as a gym on the wayfarer map for me).
That being said, the current location of the wayspot appears to be incorrectly located in the middle of a car park.
I will note that if this has been moved to the correct position at approximately 29.573994, -95.584630, then this would place it in a Level 17 S2 Cell that’s already occupied by “First Colony Community Pool - All Season”, and such an edit could be why it has disappeared.
Hi thanks for reaching out, I see you’re trying to help and I appreciate that. But yes although you may be correct I still have an issue that the gym I was talking about is far away from the pool. So it shouldn’t interfere, the updated one is another separate area that links toward the pool and water park (yes it might look the same but is not the one that was established before another player wanted to request a pokestop. But if you continue the trail it leads to a volley ball court, and bocce ball area. Which is merged by the community center where a separate gym use to be there. (Should be next to bocce ball pokestop).
A map for the course is possibly the best kind of wayspot to represent the whole course. The first tee should only really be used when there’s an absence of any sort of signage or a map like this.
Okay that resolves the disc golf pokestop. But it still doesn’t explain my first mentioned gym. The map got updated wrong and now all the gyms we had at that park are gone. It’s one thing to update the map and it’s another to purge a bunch of pokestops/gyms that are legitimate. I just checked and 2 more pokestops got taken down. Both were entrances to neighborhoods and now there’s nothing there. (This is all within the same area).
Many of us do not feel that “entrances to neighborhoods” are “legitimate” wayspots. Niantic rarely removes these, so were they actually in someone’s yard (SFPRP)?
What does the abbreviation stand for? And just so you can get a clear understanding. It was a stone monument with the neighborhoods name, covered by floral decor and flags on the sidewalk path. This pokestop was no where near anyone’s yard. It’s an entrance so you can drive by it on a public road or take the sidewalk that leads towards the park. Which is the first location I mentioned and still yet to hear why that one got mistakenly removed.
SFPRP stands for Single Family Private Residential Property which is why I said “in someone’s yard” before that. With the description you gave, was it in a median by any chance?

Yes the location you just showed me is circled in red, although I did submit those. That is not the ones I’m talking about. The one circled in green is the one I’m talking about.

The main point. And more of just a structure pavilion creating a path between the pool and aquatic center.
Thanks for the appeal, @Zerokatchem. We have taken another look, and we’ve decided to move the Wayspot “First Colony Community Center Pavillion” to the correct location. However, we have taken another look but stand by our decision to retire the Wayspot “First Colony Frisbee Golf course”.
