Area Review Request

Dear @NianticAaron,

kindly request review of the area at approx. 50.012993 , 8.463619 for any restrictions, blockings, irregularities, bugs?, other issues… preventing the wayspot(s) to appear in the game i do play.
i am quite confused, there should be at least 2 wayspot available. There is enough space and i cant recognice anything obvious as reason for the wayspot(s) not to be shown in the game (yes, i do read the “dead 17 cell” topics, but for all wayspots? hm, and further, i found similar wayspots on other locations)

thank you very much for assistance & help

Note: this is not an appeal for any wayspot or wayspot location, title, duplicates etc. But if there is any advice for duplicates to be addressed, that would be very much appreciated.

regards

The map in your screenshot also displays Power Spot locations that were imported from a third party source and that are not part of the wayfarer database. These confusingly appear indistinguishable from actual wayspots that are in the database but aren’t able to appear as Pokéstops or Gyms due to the cell rules. Are you sure that’s not what you’re seeing here?

No, i am not sure. Could be an explanation. Only thing i am still wondering, NONE of these are shown in the last days, so if these are power spot there, they were unable to be recognise in game. If even a single one has been shown in the area then that would have been a hint for me to consider…

Thank you

I think your lat/long coordinates are off, as they come back as being in the middle of the Celtic Sea:

Edit: Found that this isn’t -8, just 8 for the long. Correct area lat/long is 50.012982384780386, 8.46361942408153.

See my edit. :point_up_2:

When you just copy/paste the coordinates into Google Maps, it’s read as -8, not 8. A comma between the lat/long is better to use than -, since coordinates west of the Prime Meridian or south of the equator are in negative numbers; if they are east of the Meridian or north of the equator, they are positive and have no - sign.

That looks like it was a construction site in the past, and if it was labeled as such back then on Open Street Map, no Waxspot will appear in Pokémon GO there.

You might be right. Street View from 2022 shows construction cranes here.

And construction materials here:
