Well, I might not be able to check on this until next week, as where I’m at most of the Wayspots I submitted last year, and the 2 I found so far are in empty cells, so they’ll be stops. I do have 2 Wayspots approved at the end of May that were in occupied cells that could become Wayspots, so will check next week if I can.
I can confirm one new power spot in my area. I nominated it around mid May, using the cell rules I have seen posted around here.
We now have another powerspot in Our local park.
So our park area has potentially quite a few Powerspots given how they rotate and they are all wayspots nothing imported from the outside database. It’s good to see these wayspots able to play a role. It also gives us a play area that is much better for groups to congregate rather than at some of the other powerspots.
Hi, I have a question. Are there light points that never go away? We have two in a village. Even if the counter reaches 0, they remain the same the next day. It’s worth mentioning that these are the only two light points here. Have you noticed?
I have a Powerspot on nearby that I have only seen not active once ever since Powerspots became a thing. And it was preparing to open then.
I wonder why this happens. In another area where I work, a power spot appeared on Friday, but it only lasted for a day and hasn’t reappeared since. 
Assume it will depend on how many powerspots they have in the database for your area.
Can’t rotate them if there are no others to rotate to…
Try making nominations in already occupied cells (those with pokestops / Gyms). These have been known to be sometimes used as power spots.

True, maybe that’s the reason, because in that whole quadrant there is only 1 gym and 3 pokestops and the powerspot are the ones that came out from the beginning
These are Power Spots, and they are open for 48 hours, but show up 24 hours before they open. You participate in Max battles in PoGo at them for D and G Max Pokémon. They should disappear (for awhile) after the counter has ended, but if you live in a rural area with few Wayspots and Power Spots, there could be an issue with them not resetting properly.
I’m from a rural area, and we don’t have that many Power Spot locations when I visit, so some do get reused over and over again. A new Max Pokémon should appear in the Power Spot if this happens. If they don’t reset, this may be a bug.
As for light points, these are not a part of PoGo, and I don’t see any mention of them in any other game that is connected to Scopely.
Hi, is it possible that a new node appeared and now it doesn’t? A week ago, on July 4th, a node appeared in our area. It only appeared for 12 hours, then it left, and since that day it hasn’t appeared again. 
Powerspots “refresh” after the timer above runs out. At which time…
- A new powerspot could take its place (which you can return to and battle again).
- It may disappear for so long then return at a later date.
- It could have been reported for removal.
It’s been a week since its first appearance, when new points were added on July 4th. It’s worth mentioning that the point of interest is still there, as when a new proposal is submitted, the marker remains. The point of interest appeared with a waypoint that wasn’t shown on the map because it was occupied.
But I’m very surprised it hasn’t reappeared. The other, more distant points of interest have already rotated more than once this week.
Some Power spots come back more frequently than others.
For example, I have an area with lots of powerspots and 1 always comes back within 3 days. But I also have one in the same area, while the other spots have already refreshed 4 times or so, that only comes once a month or less even.
Maybe that’s the case, we are happy when it appears because it is our play area without going so far for each powerspot
A Power Spot that I thought I had gotten removed popped back up today. How many times do I have to report the redevelopment of this area?
