Hi,
Relatively new to Wayfarer. I’ve recently had this POI nomination rejected by the bot reviewer for “not adhering to Wayfarer criteria”, with no way for me to appeal.
Community allotment gardens seem to be generally accepted POIs around here, so I just want to know if there’s a specific reason why this one may have been rejected (eg. geo-block, pictures I submitted). If this is a mistake by the bot, should I just re-upload?
Thanks
Hi,
This looks potentially eligible. The AI (“Emily”) has recently been turned back on after a period of time off sick. She does not like greenery. Is there a sign? Emily likes signs.

Greeting and welcome to the community.
Correct yeah, they are often eligible due to being a place for socializing and probably exploring.
Your image might be the main issue as there are too many nature around AND there is no central “stuff” for the AI to identify what is in there.
Do your community garden has a sign? You can submit that instead, otherwise I suggest you should centralize the main socializing zone like this as main photo.
Edit: the image is just an example i am bad at cropping
The problem with that image is that, if it gets past eMiLy, it is likely to get rejected by reviewers, because the table and chairs don’t look permanent.
You need a photo that will both be accepted by eMiLy and be something that looks good to reviewers. Signs are great, but without that, the community garden is still eligible, just harder to photograph.

You have a good point. To be honest I would thought having something look central and is where you would gather [If your location does not have any sign] is another good spot for a wayspot location. I didn’t really think much about the permanent issue there.
Hello and welcome @Sickjuan95
Allotments are eligible.
The question then becomes is the nomination acceptable, and that should be decided on by a human.
Emily, the auto review process, continues to learn, and sometimes rejects submissions that are eligible. A common theme that has been observed is that pictures that are predominantly filled with greenery can fail.
Not all allotments have a sign, I have submitted and had accepted those with and without signs.
Those without signs are difficult to photograph as your example shows. And I think your photo is ok, I don’t have concerns about the content.
You did the right thing by providing a link to the official webpages about the allotment. They are usually easily identifiable on satellite view as they are distinctive.
So I would try to appeal this, pointing again to the official website, and how it can be identified as the correct location.
That allotments are great places to socialise - allotmenteers are so cooperative and a great sense of community. Do they have any open events at this one? And an allotment is a great place to get outside and exercise.
If the appeal doesn’t work please do comeback and we will try to work on this.
Good luck
you get two appeals, each on a 15 day timer before you can use it again. the button will return when you have one available.

Thanks for the comments all. There didn’t seem to be a sign for these allotment gardens when I visited, but I could’ve easily missed it. I’ll give it another look soon.

I had recently appealed two community-rejected POIs (which Niantic then accepted), so that would probably explain why I couldn’t appeal this one. Wasn’t aware that there was a limit, but I can understand why it exists.
If I can’t find a more appropriate photo to take, I’ll submit an appeal for this in a couple weeks.
