I would like to seek the community’s opinion as to whether this bus shelter is sufficiently unique to merit a wayspot nomination or whether the uniqueness being a natural feature and difficult to appreciate from ground level means that it would not meet eligibility criteria and as such would be highly unlikely to be successful?

Is this unique to this bus stop? Or is it an initiative for many in your community?
This sort of adaptation is something we should be seeing more of as it is a typical feature of adapting cities to climate change ( goes into teaching Environment mode 
)
I have seen similar with an educational sign and that I feel can be approved ……but if there are a lot close together they then lose distinctiveness.
So this one would be a very hard sell.

Rejected by ML. I imagine it just thinks it’s a bog standard item of highway infrastructure. I can’t get a good main photo of the green roof unless I use a step ladder and a photo like that would not be a realistic representation of the wayspot from the perspective of a passer-by. One to put on the appeal list.
I kind of like your 5th supporting picture as showing what this is? I wonder if that would get past ML?
That’s a snip from the Abingdon Blog article. I could replicate it with use of a step ladder. Even then it’s just plants, which ML doesn’t like, although it might think I’m trying to nominate the bus sign?!
Oh I see, I thought maybe you got lucky on tiptoes with your phone above your head (I have done that before to try to take pictures over a 7’ gate)
Getting a step ladder there is going to be a faff as well. I am not sure a more portable step stool would give sufficient boost!
Selfie stick
Even with “step ladders” or “Selfie stick” I still think the main image should be the 1 you have used but eMiLy is never going to consider this anything but a bus stop.
Definitely one for appeal.
