Hello,
I recently created a wayspot for a public campfire in the woods. It got declined by the ai, so i made an appeal. The appeal was also declined because of the description. Can i submit the same wayspot again, but with better photos and description?
When a submission is rejected, you can always resubmit. Doing so repeatedly for invalid junk is abuse, but this shouldn’t be a concern here.
With rejections by the AI, you can’t reuse the same photo, as it will get insta-rejected, so a new photo (better photo) is essential. In this case, you also need to improve the description as this is what the appeal reviewers didn’t like.
With rejections by reviewers, it is often advisable to use a different (better) photo, as the photo is what reviewers first see and that could be what caused the rejection.
Nice, Thanks!
Hi and welcome, yes you can, but for sure game-related text in the description as per the comment of the appeal reviewer is a complete deal breaker and the nomination shouldn’t be resubmitted as such. I appreciate it’s not entirely clear when submitting. Generally speaking I would not discuss anything related to Pokémon GO in the nomination text at all, and I would not use the “wayspots like this already exist” argument in appeals - what already exists is irrelevant, what matters is how and why it meets criteria, and how you can prove what you claim in the nomination.
If you are willing to share your nomination in full we can provide feedback on whether this is worth a resubmission and how to present it best if so.
Hello and welcome @drpatrikking
If you would like to show us the rejected nomination in full we can give our opinions oon what the issues might be and how to improve it before you submit again.
I will move this to nomination support and you can add to this topic with you=r information and questions.
Hi,
Here are all of the pictures from the Wayfarer.
When i look at it now, i can agree that the description looks vague… I’ll try to take better pictures of the places and make a better description.
The key issue with the description is that “A small campfire, where trainers can sit, cook food and look at beautiful scenery” should be “A small campfire, where people can sit, cook food and look at beautiful scenery”.
The main photo is from too far away. If a reviewer has to zoom in to see what the POI is, this is a problem. I’m surprised this got past eMiLy!
Even though the submission messages in Pokemon Go say you are submitting a Pokestop, you aren’t. You are submitting a wayspot that might, or might not, appear in Pokemon Go and/or other games. Descriptions should never have game references; supporting text is safer without them (they never help and might put reviewers off).
Thank you for the suggestions!
I’ll try to make it again.
