Cannabis store featured in marquee

My only issue with this nomination was the marquee sign promoting an adult location. Is this eligible? The nomination was well done, and the pin was at the sign, not the cannabis store, so the only hesitation for me is in the photo.

Would love to get thoughts, especially from staff.

I’m inclined to think this is alright based on your description. The pin is at the marquee and there are other restaurants and shops that a person under 18 could explore or socialize at.

On the other hand, if this plaza had a cannabin store, liquor store, adult book store,… i.e, it was overwhelmingly adult in nature I would reject it.

But I am open to other interpretations

I think it would be ok, as you are submitting the shopping center, not the cannabis store. I submitted a shopping center last year that has a child care center in it and placed the pin at the sign, and it was approved without issue. The main sign is not by the child care center (it’s by an antique store and a bank), so it seems as though no one took issue with all of what’s on the sign.

Hoping staff does chime in, but throwing my voice in for the meantime.

Clearly, this business is acceptable to the community to be here and the business itself is not highlighted in the nomination.

I would be inclined to approve, too.

I am also inclined to accept this. The wayspot is about marquee sign.

The shopping plaza rather.

the question is about the marquee sign. i did not want to post the rest of the nomination because i only wanted to know if the photo is acceptable, but they clearly made it about the shopping plaza. since folks are bringing the focus of the nomination into the question anyway:
